I agree with you, and that’s actually a pretty good reason for the theatrical ending to have gone the way it did. Rose figured they’d be able to find it if they saw her toss it. So...she tossed it and told no one.

I interned once at a conservative think-tank. I got less stupid over time, and will never vote for a Republican again in my life.

No intern is driving policy at these places. They’re just doing busywork and writing garbage. Believe me, the last thing I’m feeling today is compassion for elected Republicans or pundits

A police union leader knows nothing about the misconduct of a police officer that he was likely personally involved with?

Amazing.

Yeah Activision should definitely pay for their laziness and cheapness here, as they certainly seem to have stolen this guy’s...“art”.

That’s not going to make it good though.

This headline is an attack on the senses

I promise this is a completely serious question:

Should I be any more concerned about the bunch of kids than I am about high-speed automated trades being executed by hedge funds?

Should I be any more convinced that either operation is based on reality in any meaningful way? Or is it just pricing algorithms reacting to

I don’t know about licensing the characters for this purpose, but some of the video companies definitely sell officially licensed merchandise that is intended for use by cosplayers, which strikes me as tacit approval for cosplay use.

I wonder what’s driving the Japanese government toward this policy. Just a potential

Such a great game. Really makes you feel like an asshole for continuing to play it.

Such a great game. Really makes you feel like an asshole for continuing to play it.

My amateur’s take on this is that you have to respect your wife’s wishes, and that’s what you volunteered for when you married a vegetarian.

I’m happy y’all are happy with your iron pans and find them easy to deal with.

I’m not and I don’t, but I am happy that I got a good deal on a commercial-grade stainless steel pan and now I don’t have to deal with this stuff.

Yeah, I kinda went in reverse order - this was like my 5th or 6th playthrough of the series over the years, and I finally became aware of the Steam achievement. So I concluded my playthrough with an achievement that was honestly a massive pain in the ass and I almost gave up on it several times (had to completely

Alright y’all, how many of you have sent the gnome into space?

Had my kids right after the peanut guidance from the AAP changed (and did the peanut butter slurry thing with both) - but I didn’t discover these peanut-dusted delights until Kid #2. They’re dangerously delicious, and I see them in most grocery stores these days.

We live in a nasty world, mate. And for everyone testing their internal waters with edgelord humor, there are three more that’ll make that joke twice without even thinking about it as a means of coping with the charnel house that is our political and economic system, and indulging either impulse is how it all

Could’ve just kept that entire thought process to yourself.

Right? I mean, I guess a turnkey streaming operation that basically works, and which basically no one was watching, is a fine thing if you’ve got the money to buy it and retool it for your specific content. But yeah, very strange.

Ah, good point, and good to hear from someone with firsthand knowledge on the subject. I’m a 30-something who loves watching Jeopardy, and fully intends to keep doing so!

And I had forgotten that Wheel (which I don’t watch) was sold in a block with it - Trebek mentioned that in his memoir :)

Yeah, for the most part, but...not Jeopardy. There are rotating “collections” of the show that are available on Netflix and Hulu, but they’re always like...30 random episodes from several different seasons but never less than two years old. The only solutions I’ve ever found for watching current episodes the day after

I figured it was probably something along those lines, but I do wonder if Trebek passing away is an excuse to blow up all of those deals and start over. Or...may necessitate it. Kinda depends if all of those existing contractees view the same show with a new host as fundamentally the same show or not.

Really, really hoping that once they retool the show for Trebek’s replacement (which I’m devastated about!) that they get their shit together on the streaming side as well. There is no reason why it should be this difficult to watch new episodes of Jeopardy the day after they air. Sony even owned their own streaming
