The tragedy of Meryl Streep is that she has way more good performances under her belt than she has good movies.

It's very easy to tell British from Aussie from Kiwi. You just aren't paying attention.

It's a shit accent, but he so goes for it that it becomes its own delightful thing. I personally think that character matters more than fidelity. Especially in comedies.

It's awful. I remember liking it as a kid, but I don't think anyone who wasn't 12 at the time it was released would like it much. There's a reason it's almost entirely forgotten (seriously, when was the last time you saw it on TV?).

Yeah, lol. Emily Watson (of "Breaking the Waves" fame) is one of the best living actresses, I'd say. Huge difference 3 letters make.

Emma Watson can't act, but I give her bonus points for coming such a long way. If you watch the first Harry Potter movie none of the kids can act at all (save Rupert Grint, who was the only truly natural actor of the bunch) and Watson was the worst. Chris Columbus favors cutsey, sitcomish, child performers who

Terminator reboot was just fucking terrible. No amount of presence could have saved it.

I think McFarlene is hot. Do people actually think he's ugly? I hate most everything he's done, save "American Dad" (which I actually, really, really, love), but from what I've seen of him in interviews and stuff he seems to be a likable enough guy. And he's a hardcore liberal too, which is bonus points.

She's not a great actress, but her particular brand of wooden actually makes her fit very well with the actresses from the original trilogy and prequels. So I'm not upset by her casting here.

I love "The Room" so much and would watch it any day over 90% of the middling, mediocre, shit that gets praised to the heavens—tedious shit like "The King's Speech" or that Stephen Hawking biopic whose name I can't even remember, for example. The Room might not be better than those films if judged via technical

Well, I actually lied. I have a friend who subscribes and is nice enough to do the "Family" account thing with me. So I use prime quite often for the shipping, but probably not enough that I'd ever subscribe myself. It's only worth it if you decide to start buying groceries through them or something.

Yeah, Amazon Prime has always been shit. I mean, I subscribe, of course, but it's strictly for the shipping. They never have anything I want to watch, though. "The Tick" is the first show on there that I'm mildly interested in.

I was an obsessive fan when I was in Jr High and Highschool. I cooled to her post-Scarlet output (although, I loved "Night of the Hunters"), but I still buy all of her new albums out of obligation to my 15 year old self (which means, at this point, a new Tori Amos album is typically the only time I got to the record

It's awful and it, along with the Kelly's meager output since, is testament to what a fluke Donny Darko was. The director's cut of "Donnie Darko" does the same, actually, now that I think about it. I never much liked Donnnie Darko to begin with, but the DC makes it worse.

Yeah, I don't get it. Especially since I feel like "Transparent" became grating self-parody sometime mid season 2. So if AV Club is going to start reviewing some of the shows no one/watches reads again, I can think of a million discontinued recaps I'd rather see before "Transparent."

I rode it out. I was a holdout back when Facebook was cool, refusing to have an account. Now that Facebook is mostly something that 60 year old women use, it's no longer cool and there's way less pressure to be on it. Most people under the age of 25 aren't as Facebook obsessed as my generation was at their age.

I didn't necessarily suspect it would be him, but given the show's premise revealing that some of the staff are actually hosts seemed inevitable at some point. And either Wright, the lady he was having an affair with, or one of the two surgeon guys seemed the most obvious possibilities given that they are the only 4

Treats is really good. Genuinely one of the best albums of the decade so far. It really is one of those debut albums that plays more like it should be a greatest hits. All the songs sound like singles.

I don't consider myself a huge fan or anything, but their follow up albums to Treats always had a few good pop songs to work out to. Which is all I cared about. Plus, I think their sophomore album is severely underrated.

Yeah, I didn't have any idea who he was until 2 months ago. So know nothing about him.
