That moment was edited and presented as a twist, though, much like a fictional film would present a similar twist. People act as if the documentary was edited in real time or something. Not saying the film definitely shouldn't have done it that way, but people act like the director just turned his camera on and

This is an incredibly effective film in terms of manipulating the audience's emotions, so it had as big of an impact on me when I first saw it as anyone, but the more I've thought about it afterwards the less I like it. It's a good cry of rage that was perhaps cathartic to make, but it's not a particularly good

I'm one who used to come here frequently, but rarely do anymore just because the site is shit now. Newswire is pointless now that O'Neal is gone. I only come on occasion to see the TV recaps, but they suck too (case in point: the person responsible for the above web series is a TV reviewer whose reviews are as

Yes. This was awesome. One of the best Random Roles in a while.

Yeah there are tons of great movies about faith, but "Christiansploitation" (which is what I call most of the recent spate of awful Christian movies) are really more about politics and tribalism than they are about faith or religion. Religion is not and has never been their topic. Instead they are about reflecting

Ditto. His last two albums went to new places for him musically, but this one is just kind of boring. Has three good songs (Ultralight Beam, Waves, Famous) and lots of mediocre filler.

It probably is. I've always found his films incredibly inconsistent and, even at their best, underwhelming. He tries on different genres constantly, but they always feel slight and kind of half assed. Television is a better fit for him as it forces him to develop something long form.

It's like they know just enough grammar to do some damage.

Yeah, "The Cosby Show" was a hugely influential show, culturally, and by most accounts was a good show (honestly, I never watched it much, but other people seem to like it). It also had a bunch of people involved in its creation beyond Cosby. I don't see why it has to be banished from TV and the collective conscious

Cosby is one comedian whose stand up I've never gotten. He's just never made me laugh. Which is perplexing, as basically every comedian ever talks about how awesome he is (or, was). But I don't see it. I guess his comedy just doesn't age well or something.

If you are going to cover politics you should hire someone with a unique perspective who can say something original. The above article is just a rehash of stuff everyone everywhere is already saying.

Yeah…..I didn't even think of that. I wonder if Univision wants AV Club to start focusing on politics. I will be gone if this place turns into Gawker with TV reviews.

Holy shit, yes. If AV Club does politics all of the awful political Disqus commenters will follow. I've yet to see a political or news website that uses Disqus and has good comments.

Eh. It said he has no principles, but any coverage that contributes to the "Marco is the rising star" narrative is a blow job. And this article does just that, despite attempting some weak sauce meta-media analysis. Bottom line: there was nothing in this article that hasn't been said better on Politico or one of

Yeah, fuck this. I come here to avoid politics. Not see AV Club give Rubio a blowjob. What the fuck?

I've never liked Mould's solo stuff much. I really loved that "Paradise Lost" concept album Grant Hart did a few years ago, though. No one ever talks about him, though.

Well, you are literally the worst commenter here. Seriously, every single thing you say is inane shit. Yet you also seem to be some kind of shut in, which means you have the first comment on every single article. It's really annoying.

Nah, it's shit. Like the National without the driving percussion that holds the National together.

Oy, he gave me a roit mammie gummer, he did.

I hate Ralph Bakshi so much. I've never liked "Grease," but his would have no doubt been a drab, brown, poorly animated, piece of shit. He would have gutted the story and most of the musical numbers because stuff like plot and emotion is hard to animate. The stuff that was animated would have consisted of
