What does "inexplicably non-voiced by Kristin Chenoweth mean"? That's she's credited, but doesn't talk? That the role is voiced by someone else, but should have been Voiced by Chenoweth? That Chenoweth does the voice, but just uses her own voice rather than affecting a character voice?

Jar Jar's reputation seems completely resurrected among some Star Wars fans after that redit thread.

I don't think Spike Lee has made a film not worth seeing. Even his bad ones are bad in interesting ways.

Yes.

I've always meant to try it, but it's not on Netflix. Which streaming service has it? I could just pirate it, but I don't want to see it that bad. I just need a new show to watch for a half hour before bed as I'm almost through the entire run of "Peep Show."

I like him, which makes me feel bad I never actually watch him. I have fond memories of his 90s era NBC heyday, though, when I watched him quite a bit.

It really was, though. It brought out the absolute worst in commentors, but Sonia's articles were also some of the worst AV Club's ever published. So it was really impossible to take a side.

Yeah. "Human Giant" wasn't a massive success, but it was really well respected in alt comedy circles. It's probably what got him "Parks and Rec." And I remember him popping up in a bunch of comedies that drew heavily from the sketch comedy world at that time.

Elegant Victorian lady is maybe my favorite gimmick poster now, purely by virtue of the fact that most of the best gimmicks are long gone.

"Inside" should be in the top 5. Same with "Kill List." "The Strangers" shouldn't be on there at all. It was a pale immitation of the much better French-New-Wave-in-Horror films it was ripping off.

I know everyone's name in that sketch except for the guy in the middle. For years since Mr Show I've known him only as "That guy from Mr Show." He's been everywhere, though, especially commercials. Apparently, by process of elimination, he's John Ennis. Huh.

This will sound cheesy, but he helped get me through grad school. No matter how stressed I was I'd put on one of his videos before bed. I must have rewatched them hundreds of times. Once you've seen a video scores of times the ritualistic aspect of it takes over. It's like saying the rosary or something.

Eh. It seemed like something I should love, but was neither funny nor interesting.

That really is all, though. The political structure and motives of both the empire and the rebels really aren't addressed at all in the OT. Most of the stuff we know about it comes from the prequels, which is kind of annoying. Like how Christians read the old testament completely in terms of the new testament.

It was the only place in the prequels where the odd stilted acting was appropriate. For some reason, though, everyone acted as if they were partaking in the 8th hour of some tedious senate meeting on trade negotiations even when they were discussing love and life or death situations.

Agree about the episode, but "Hurt" was too on the nose.

Yes. He wouldn't have lasted even half a season. His ego is way too fucking fragile for that. Michaels did him a favor as there's no telling what would have happened had he gotten a huge chance like that and flamed out in the national spotlight. He very well could have ended up dead.

Huh. It actually does. Never noticed that before.

Yes. She actually held him accountable for some things better than I've ever seen another interviewer. I really love "Nathan for You" (seriously, it's my favorite comedy on TV right now), but I do sometimes think Nathan crosses the line when he shifts the butt of the joke from himself to the guests.

There's a commercial on TV where a guy shaving has fuck loads of backhair. It's not a shaving commercial, but an insurance commercial (it makes you think it's a shaving commercial, then turns into something else). Still, the guy is clearly supposed to be hot (he's ripped and everything), so I think it's a step in
