I’m an Alabama resident and some of the comments on al.com right now are disgusting. They will vote Moore for one reason and one reason only - prolife. See, those babies need to be born so Moore and his ilk can rape them later.

Ahead of the presser, Moore’s camp put out a statement attacking Allred as a “sensationalist leading a witch hunt” and linked her to “giving us Roe v. Wade which has resulted in the murder of tens of thousands of unborn babies.”

I live here and the local news commenters are disturbing in how wholeheartedly they support Moore. They allege that the women are lying, DNC operatives, or were hired by a shadowy gay cabal for revenge on his “brave stand” against gay marriage.

There’s been plenty of “But Bill!” that I’ve seen.

I don’t want to hear another damn word from them about how Islam is so terrible because Mohammed was a pedophile.

The Gianforte situation was a little different, though. Montana does mostly mail-in votes and a lot of them had already been returned by the day before the election. The Democratic candidate won day-of voting.
