I don’t know how to use makeup like at all. My mother didn’t wear any and my sister was 5 years older and wanted nothing to do with me. So I never learned any basic skills other than how to put on lipstick. When I started trying to figure it out in high school after being a tomboy all through middle school my family

Interesting casting for the father since Mark Paul Gosselaar is also mixed-ish, with an Indonesian mother who was born and raised in Bali.

I think Rue is dead. It was her dead father being the only one to see and interact with her that did it for me. (It was so sad to learn that she wears that hoodie all the time because it was his.) He also looked kind of anguished to me, that he was sad to be seeing her in the hereafter. It’s like in The Others when

“Warren loses the top spot = not because she did anything wrong, but because Booker did so many things right.” Sigh.. very subjective but I get it: Elizabeth Warren needs more friends at theRoot & among the black political class. Don’t understand how Booker had a better debate (or week!) than Warren.

When there is a dearth of trained black hairstylists on TV/movie sets and in the Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Guild, black actors are left to their own devices. They’re probably also on the hook at their own expense for those wigs.

I once got a parking ticket for being two minutes past the time on the meter. I was walking up to my car as the cop was writing it. I said “I’m here, I’m here!” as I was walking up and hoped he would let it go but he said “I already started writing” and I stood there and waited as he wrote me a parking ticket that he

The timing of this, combined with Trump’s calling out of Al Sharpton and Elijah Cummings makes me more sure that a major news organization (NYT, WaPo) has the tape of Trump using the N-word. They reached out to him for comment, and he’s been on full-blown tantrum mode since.

All of this. Plus, one day those kids are going to be able to tell their kids that they were on the court with LBJ and Bronny.

the “if it were any other dad” thing doesn’t really apply here. if your dad is 40-year-old damon young—or even the 30-year-old damon young who could still dunk easily—he needs to sit his ass down and watch the game. but lebron is ... different. like, if blue ivy’s a teen and singing in her church’s choir, you think

This inquisition!

This, I hope, is just the beginning of the winning for Jharrel Jerome... His talent is off the charts!

For sure, but I’m also interested in understanding the different stories these perspectives are telling about the world.

Anthony is pretty amazing and gave a one note character SO MUCH unexpected depth. Tonally the show was lacking and arrhythmic - like maybe they were trying for jazz but instead just got random notes. The narrative had no point, just random, but interesting, characters colliding with one another...

I also really enjoyed Anthony, he’s talented and I hope to see him in more things (I was thrilled to see him in A Star is Born).

LISSENNNNN! I’m always like, do these people think it’s 1845? Folx got smoke, we ain’t scared and there are more of us en masse than them. They betta sit down somewhere.

When they finally get the “race war” they want

“And that young man is none other than Jharrel Motherfucking Jerome....!”

I’m an old person so I’d have to Google most of those terms but what I think you’re saying is “Man murdered teenager. Man took graphic pictures of dead teenager and posted to social media as trophy. Man’s followers and public media began victim shaming dead teenager”.
