I can recall watching commercials for Die Hard and thinking it had to be a parody because it was goofy Bruce Willis. Prior to that movie, Willis was almost stuck in the comedy zone like Hanks, Keaton and even Steve Guttenburg.

It's a shitty idea to make another Indiana Jones movie. Spielberg maybe has five to six movies left at the most. I love the series, but I'd rather he not waste his time.

Every time I try to revisit Crystal Skull,I end up turning it off. I had very low expectations back in 08, but it's just awful. From Ray Winstone's "Jonesy! I love me gold I do!" schtick, Cate Blanchett's lame Natasha homage, Shia's goofy greaser/son of Indy to Karen Allen just-happy-to-be-there, there's nothing

Back when Eddie was going to do the Oscars, Norm was interviewed saying he would love to write for that show.

Maybe Eddie just wanted to show up, see old friends, have a good time and not have his return tied to Cosby. It's not like he walked off the show because they did the sketch anyway with Kenan.

"You like the shrimp?"

I just come away from each MCU offering with the thought that I would really love them if I was 7 or 8. When you compare them to most blockbuster product, they're a letter grade or two better, but nothing I would place in the Cinema Hall of Fame. People can say Winter Soldier is on the level of 3 Days of Condor or

I recommend checking out Now Playing's podcast review for Boyhood.

Guardians was okay when I saw it in the theater, but it did not hold up for me on a second viewing.

I thought Guardians was alright the first time I saw it, but I was bored on a second watch. It's great kids like GOTG, but I'm not convinced by Devin Faraci or The Dissolve when they try to elevate this as one of the greatest films of the decade.

I'll always be a fan of SLJ, but it is somewhat reaching to pretend Batman hasn't clicked with the public. I don't think that many people were wearing Batman T-shirts in 89 to be ironic. Sure, film bloggers and comic book purists have decided the TDK trilogy is shit now, but that doesn't negate the anticipation and

Jim Carrey's Vanilla Ice on In Living Color was one of my favorite bits from him. Grandma Made Me This Stupid Jacket.

My problem with Winter Soldier is it ignores events from the previous movies (kidnapping of the President, alien invasions, robot attacks, etc) that pretty much strengthen Fury's reasoning for having the Super Helicarriers. When Cap is talking about those Helicarriers aren't freedom, why didn't Fury answer "Umm.. you

I can recall so many folks being shocked over SHIELD being infiltrated by the bad guys in Winter Soldier as if this was on the level of The World Series being fixed.

With the Age of Ultron, it's hard to feel the characters will be in any real danger because I know Iron Man and Captain America will be around next year with Captain America 3. I know this because the studio proudly announced it during a shareholder's meeting. It's difficult to feel any real stakes with this new movie

I guess that likely explains his "cameo" in The Fugitive.

The Iron Man movies are probably my favorites of the MCU, but if they do a 4th one, they should find a better villain than rival weapons manufacturer. I'd be fine if he took on Greenpeace. At least it would be different.

I was replying to your statement that Feige wasn't "involved in the earlier films" when an IMDB search contradicts that. On the DVD extras for the 1st X-Men, he's shown quite frequently on location scouts and meetings. I'm not saying he was the Decider In Chief during that era, but there's some Elektra blood on his

Feige's listed as a producer on those earlier films dating back to the first X-Men. He may not have made final decisions, but he was involved.

Ebersol gave Michaels a SNL to return to in 85 after Michaels' other projects failed. I also don't think Lorne would have given Murphy the chance to break out. I feel if Lorne was around during the early 80s, he would have chased after the next Belushi or Radner instead.
