I've got a much better idea. Buy a piece of that white board that's used as the bottom of the drawer, and cut it size so that it fits in perfectly. Glue a dozen or so small (dice-sized) blocks of wood onto the original drawer bottom (one in each corner and some in strategic places, then you can place your new drawer
