I didn't make the Pi of Sauron, or even anything as close to as cool as what AceMace built, but a couple of Pi Model Bs were the brains of an Oculus project I worked on - I took a couple of cheap cameras and some cheap wide-eye lenses:

I own the JNC300XLC pictured above, and my brother owns the JNC660. They're excellent products, and one of the features that's possibly not obvious is the 12V charger outlet these have ("cigarette lighter"-style). Even if you never use these to jump your car, they store a lot or energy and are useful during

It's currently $199 and includes a year of Prime. You can add Google apps to it - read the top reviews and you'll see how. Nice phone and a killer deal at that price.

Oops... I forgot he said an iPod. Yes, definitely, get the Apple version of these. The Amazon headphones do not work with Apple products. Verified that myself.

When the Amazon ones were $12 earlier this week, I'd have said buy both. Now, at $19, that's less of an option. I have both sets. The Sennheisers sound better and (obviously) have better isolation. The Amazon ones are (in my opinion) easier to put in and more comfortable. They are vastly less likely to tangle. The

It's worth mentioning that the Fire Phone is only $30 above its all time low, and at $130 (taking into account the $99 Prime membership extension you get), it's actually a really great device with a few caveats: it doesn't do Hangouts or Messages, and sideloading apps is a bit of a pain, but... for people who don't

I wish I knew someone to tell about the Kids Edition deal. A few people at work got them for their younger kids (at full price) - they are fantastic tablets, and amazing at this price. The replacement policy and the year of free content are killer.

FYI, "MyPermissions" is the developer; the app name is "Online Privacy Shield" - at least according to the Play Store at the moment.

It has great capacity, and I do like mine, but... that button for the light is very easy to press accidentally, even when the battery is in luggage or pockets, so be aware that the light might be activated without you knowing and/or when you don't want it to be.

Given T-mobile's 200MB-free-for-life plan, it seems it'd likely be cheaper to get the cheapest tablet you can use with that plan and just use it. Month-to-month plans for the SIMs you use in GSM shields add up quickly, and by the time you get all the parts... you'd probably end up spending more.

A few meals out with friends, and my Pebble would have paid for itself.

In late 1980, we got a TRS-80 Model III, with 16K RAM and a fancy cassette-tape-recorder data backup system. I learned BASIC on it, and it's likely the reason I've become a software developer.

Amazon isn't 78% cheaper than iTunes - it's cheaper 78% of the time. Very different.

Look at the dry spot under the red car - I'm guessing it was there longer than the other cars. The silver car clearly parked so close to it that the driver of the red car couldn't get it. Whether or not another car was originally on the other side of that silver car, there's no excuse to park that close to the other

I'm a big fan of these:

No, and it's not likely they will for at least the foreseeable future, since the wifi mechanism needs at least some space (antenna, etc), which is much more limited in a microSD card.

I think the point of the sphere is that it can blow in any direction - I agree these are terrible for directed clearing, but as some cheap option to randomly blow around a possible minefield (caveat: little or no vegetation and relatively flat ground), these are a brilliant idea, assuming they truly are inexpensive.

"Available to ship: 1-2 months"

I note that the judge didn't specify the color, as far as I can tell. It doesn't really matter which font they use if it's the same color as the background....

I think there's a difference between saying that it's a critically important difference and saying it matters. Granted, there's a lot you can do at 1024 x 600 that doesn't require 1280 x 800, but as an owner of an original Fire and a Nexus 7, I can tell you that you absolutely can notice the resolution improvements,
