Coming Soon to Copart!

Yellow STi says I don’t have time for your tow rope shenanigans...I’ve got this.

why is “page the customer in the store” not on the list? one would think that would be a logical course of action as well.

This can go the other way too. I watch american pickers all the time and there are some sellers who ask a price far below what an item is worth. Mike or Frank will typically tell them that the item is worth more...or in some cases will get one of their experts to evaluate the item remotely. They then make a fair offer

nothing concrete yet...the rumor for the past year+ including from those working at corporate has been that a turbo crosstrek is in consideration so that they don’t have the R&D cost of building two different wrx models.

The sad thing is....there are enough people out there who view cars the same way they would a toaster that you most likely wouldn’t have too much trouble finding enough people who have no idea what they’re looking at to fill the commercial.

Our service dept just pulled a kitten out of a subaru bumper a few weeks ago too.

....when he mentioned a little plastic bushing in the transfer case linkage as a weak point on modern Jeep Wranglers....

so much this...we used to get destroyed on our sales surveys because “the parking lot is too congested” or “you didn’t have the exact model, color and package option I wanted and had to wait for it so your selection is too small”, etc etc....it got to the point where we had to literally tell people to their face that

I feel your pain. I’m in sales with subaru and we have an average score that we need to maintain as individuals both on the subaru side and on the dealer side (the dealer side is tied to a rolling bonus...if you wrap up a month above target you get a bonus the following month...if not you get nothing! you lose! good

Absolutely...I see it all the time. I’ve even heard the words “well if I pick up an extra part time job I should be able to swing the payments” and I can think is WTF!?

You’re going to all the wrong places. None of my coworkers ever worked in car sales...most never in sales period before getting hired here because the management doesn’t want the old bad habits (I worked in the funeral business for 10 years prior to this....most of the people I encountered never spoke at all). You’re

I made the mistake when I bought my car of focusing just on my trade and monthly payment. They gave me a 2% higher interest rate than I should have had, a year longer term than I thought and packaged almost 4k worth of “extras” into the deal but I was just focused on the payment. Now I know...and now I try to let

I work at a subaru dealer and had a customer come in wanting to trade in their year old base model hyundai elantra for a crosstrek (they had traded a juke on the hyundai previously). Normally when someone comes in with a year old car I cringe knowing that they are going to be way upside down on the loan.

The F50 falls well within my area :) with a p1 taking 2nd place.

My wife and I picked up a ‘51 kaiser deluxe over the winter. This car had an optional “golden dragon trim” package on it which back in the day practically DOUBLED the price of the car ($24,000 in today’s money). To help encourage that luxury feel, the car has front and rear seat ash trays and cigarette lighters.
