I heard that in Texas (where I live), it's perfectly legal to bury the deceased on land that you own within 24 hours of declared death, as long as they're sufficiently deep and not near any municipal supply lines (gas, water, sewage, etc.). Can anyone verify that? That's how I want to be buried.

No kidding. When I go, I think I'd prefer my family to just have me cremated or whatever the cheapest option would be. I wouldn't care. Take the money and go in a vacation or something, give them time to repair.

Honestly? I got rid of Amazon Prime. Two day shipping is wayyy too convenient.

My problem in the past hasn't been day to day over-spending , but projects that seem to grow like snowballs that roll down hill and become avalanches. So now, when I consider diving into something, I look for the end point of it and potentially what that could cost me. Especially if it's something that I'm not

Desktop Environment? Where we're going, you don't need... desktop environments.

We've been doing this for 20 months and it has worked great. It's easy to stay focused 6 days out of the week when you know you can eat whatever on Saturday.

That picture makes me think of the numerous misleading pool toy box images I've seen across the web:

It's also important to consider whether the coupon has caused you to buy a more expensive brand than you otherwise would have.

Couponing has to be done with a comprehension of how to "beat the system" because it can be done. Youhave to pair your coupons with when items go on sale in a store, at the right time of year when things go on sale. If pasta is usually $1.50 a box, and the store's got it on sale for 99c, and you have a coupon for 40c,

Tedium, yes, but if you can't actually buy yourself food without engaging in tedium, then by god, you will do it. Time is cheap, and there's far more of it than money when you're poor.

Great point about individual decisions. I stopped clipping coupons about a decade ago when I realized that I was spending *more* because I had this Great Coupon!(tm) and had to use it on things I didn't even need. "oh hey - that looks good. we should pick up some of that!" I would think. I've since scaled back

You're assuming someone's sitting around watching TV for hours a week. You're also assuming one couldn't be doing something better while watching TV.
