I've got these headphones - though I paid considerably more. They're pretty decent. The best sound from ANC I've encountered. I mean, they're no Grado SR80s, but they are awesome for airplanes and mowing the grass!

I get that, but it only takes one or two catastrophic errors to change one's perspective. For me, what happened was that my paycheck was on automatic deposit and my rent was on automatic payment. My employer at the time made a clerical error and paid double-time for one particular day for everyone in the company. They

When I was a kid I had bush meat in Arkansas. I've eaten and liked squirrel and rabbit and maybe turtle. I couldn't bring myself to taste opossum.

Yeah, no. Singapore was fun that way. In Sentek city there's a grocery store and they got in a load of durian and the whole concourse smelled funny for the rest of the week. I liked all the signs on the transport and taxis "No Durian" LOL.

How do you learn without doing? I mean, you can memorize facts, but that's not learning the thing the facts are about. I can learn all about skateboards, but until I step on one, I've learned nothing about skateboarding.

Yeah. Some mice got into our RV and chewed through actual plastic boxes to get at the stuff inside, even though it was only toilet paper to make a nest with. Meh. Now we have to bleach everything.

Sure. I know many folks use and like autopay. It's my own personal foible - I like to sit down each pay check and pay each bill and update my spreadsheet with the current balances on every account and the like. It's a spreadsheet that lets me estimate my net worth at a glance :D To me, it's worth the forty-five

I never automate payments of any (significant) size. Habit I developed when I was much younger and made a lot less money, and had to decide which check to pay each bill with each month. If you don't use "autopay", it eliminates most of the problems you describe here.

"Indeed, it seems that all diets do work; the hard part is finding one you can stick to. In order to determine a diet's overall sustainability, go through Dr. Freedhoff's checklist below and assign an enjoyability score of 1-10 before you decide to try the diet:"

If you use the same standards applied to other

Solid, balanced article. Bravo!

This is true of literally everything. Recently dog food from China was cut with melamine; does that anyone who speaks about dog food should say "it might contain melamine"?

It's always possible to trade time for money/savings. My wife constantly combs the craigslist free stuff - though we don't have time to go get it, usually, and it's gone by the time we do. If you've got time to sort through and organize coupons and search for sales and visit multiple stores you can save a *lot* of

People do love their Instagram-ey filters, eh? The rx100 has a pile of 'em too.

I'm not sure what advantage 'lean meat' is supposed to provide here. Several much-publicized studies, including at least one large metastudy - have made it clear that fat consumption is not correlated with poor health outcomes, and only processed meats clearly are. A whole pile of studies on eggs have shown that

First, let me point out that first study doesn't correlate calories consumed to weight loss; only notes that both diets reduced caloric intake, but LC reduced it *more* than MC. This does not equate to "calories are all equal".

I've noted in other conversations here that when I snoop through Google Scholar and other

To be fair, that M3 and all three lenses probably fit into a box the same size as your Canon + superzoom! LOL. I'm amazed that there is a real live film camera there. I always wanted a Leica M3. Pretty much the pinnacle of mechanical camera design, IMO. But digital caught up with film before I made enough money to own

Scanbot does a great job, too. I use Scannable and Scanbot both, fairly frequently.

"no longer any desire to be sexually active with another person"

This is called focus. The desire to be sexually active with other folks hasn't gone away. Your attention is just laser-focused on the person you're courting/dating/etc. It's 'the honeymoon' period, and far more fragile than our Disney and Harlequin fueled

I think "good" is a relative term here. If you have to do a one-shot numerical 'thing' (or low-repetition), it's a great platform. But if it's something that's going to be done every day, or every week, or even every month, for a long, long time, you're better off automating it with more appropriate tools.

Good god I can't believe how much Excel is used - even when it shouldn't be.
