Great review, thanks! I’m disappointed to hear that the battles never get complex and eventually feel pointless. That will probably mean I won’t be trying this out, as the art design and charming sense of humor aren’t enough to keep me hooked. Oh well.

I guess we all can say au reservoir to our planet

Seriously. Water we going to do about this?

That’s dam unfortunate news.

Reminds me of something my mom did a few weeks ago. She got a scam call from some guy saying he was with Microsoft and he detected a virus on her computer. (First clue it was a scam? They have an iMac. Why would Microsoft be calling?)

It doesn’t have to be a part of it, but it *is* part of it. When male (and even female) players shit-talk one another, the language is remarkably gendered: competitors are called pussies, winning is often referred to as raping another player, and any number of comments are made about the sexual behavior of

This is real life. Was playing videogames one time at a friendes house.Behind me on the bed I suddenly heard noises. I turned around and my two friends(both female) were doing it with a strap on.

just shut up and enjoy it. geez.

Oops, guys, I forgot there were Real Feminist Problems still! Guess we have to fix all of those before we’re allowed to talk about video games.

Scariest boss in Windows history.

Sometimes time is your best ally in video games. Take the boss fight with The End MGS 3, AKA the most tedious, boring, frustrating boss fight in game history. You could skip the fight and wait for him to die of old age if you were patient enough to put the game on hold for a week.

To this day, I’ll never forget playing Venture on the Colecovision, mainly because of the Hall Monster that would appear if you took too long on a stage. He was big, invincible, fast, and could go through walls.

I would rather have a former sex worker teaching my (hypothetical) child than someone who teaches Creationism or Intelligent Design.

Why wouldn't it be? Sex work is part of reality, and hiding reality from children is pathetic. Yes, it should be properly contextualized - which a teacher is tremendously well positioned to do! - but it's stupid to try to child-proof the world.

A healthy approach to sex (and sex work) is always appropriate.
