Oh he’s from Florida but came to the US in 2010, pray tell where is he actually from? We both know the answer, but one can only wonder why that wasn’t mentioned in a “What we know about the terrorist attack in Manhattan” article.

Poor guy was all excited about his impending “martyrdom,” but he’s going to rot in prison instead. Tsk.
And authorities held off labeling terrorism till they had details to back it up, which is how it should be done. (As opposed to people on social media who heard “truck hits people” and immediately started digitally yelling about Islamic terrorism, which is how it should not be done.)
The always-excellent Rukmini Callimachi is covering this, naturally, for anyone interested:
Given the vast similarities between the London, Barcelona and German truck attacks, I’m pretty comfortable calling it one.
about time we talked about vehicle control laws...
It’s definitely not professional, and likely due to the race of the driver, but still, a guy just drove through a crowd of people on purpose. Is there a problem with police and POC? Absolutely, and something needs to be done about it. But they’re still counting the dead and you’re taking the focus off the killer and…
So a guy runs into a group of people, killing at least 5, and this is what you focus your disgust on?

So are you saying its NOT terrorism?
Hmm... (looks at skin color.)
You can be both an ordinary American and a minority. They aren’t mutually exclusive, and I didn’t take his statement that way, either.
No, it’s immoral by today’s standards. It was universally accepted for thousands of years. The fact that times changed just means that what you view today as immoral is exactly that. Your view today.
It’s the way civilization worked for millennia. The fact you don’t like it today does not mean your view was shared by anyone at the time, including people in the Union that didn’t free slaves until well after the Civil War had started.
You can’t judge anyone by today’s standards because they didn’t exist at the time. Literally every society at one point used slaves as labor. I take it you’re going to say that every society is immoral? I don’t think so.
I don’t think Kelly revised anything. His point that we apply our moral standards of today to past history is a legitimate point to make. I don’t really interpret what he said as justifying anything. Pointing out that the failure to compromise leads to intractable problems is a point that everyone today should be…
Birdman, you’re on the wrong site for this kind of common sense.
Vancouver isn’t the US. It is in Canada.
Major League Soccer is proving by their actions that they are not Anti-Racist like they say they are or Anti-Fascist like they would like to say they are.
It’s obvious you use Splinter as one of your news sources, so I assume you are far from dumb. So why are you choosing to play dumb right now? Are you seriously going to use what you said above as excuses? Are you really that partisan?
