you can also but already cut up onion, green pepper, and celery in most grocery stores. i started doing this for thanksgiving stuffing and it makes everything SO much better.

what happens if you add red wine to cooked turkey? you get purple food. my husband ate it and said it was good, but i couldn't bring myself to eat purple food.
I read somewhere that people now will have an average of 7 careers over their working lifetime. I had 7:
I have "cooking fits" to fill my freezer. I make 2 meat loaves and a pork roast in the oven, a beef roast in my pressure cooker, 2 pots of chili on the stovetop, and a chicken dish in the slow cooker. In about 3 hours I have about 35-40 meals for the freezer (divided into meal-sized portions). For dinner, I just…
I did this with a t-shirt that my dad gave me. He didn't know my size and it was way too small. It was a woman at a desk that said "I think therefore I am...paid." Loved it.
don't do popcorn either, unless you plan to share it with everyone within smelling distance.
and you can't always trust food that has been refrigerated. i got food poisoning from leftovers in my mom's fridge (veal scallopine). it was 4 days old. my rule now is after 3 days in the fridge, throw it out. i haven't had a problem since. (this only applies to cooked food meat/dairy/eggy foods, not veggies.)
I never aspired to be a manager either. And I don't like dressing up. But if you want to stay employed, you need to have a good attitude—not "my way or the highway." Or at least make your boss THINK you have a good attitude. I did things MY way, but made the boss think it was his idea as much as possible.
You are foolish to give your employer work for free. Then they will expect you to give them more for free. And it's hard to get back to 40 hours after you routinely work more.
you're not going far up the corporate ladder, son.
and MyPlate has just about every food you could imagine. The mobile app makes it easy to follow when away from home, thus enabling me to take a cruise and not gain weight.
I have used MyPlate at livestrong.com to help me lose 40 pounds. I will keep doing this "forever" to maintain my weight. It makes me aware of the caloric content of foods and of portion size. (I used Nutrisystem foods once before, but didn't learn HOW to eat since they provided the food.)
me too.
i got a pantech scanner (up to 5x8" under $100) and sat in front of the tv each day and fed photos in (c. 5 sec each). after a stack was done i hooked it up to ;my laptop, loaded them into picasa, and edited and labeled.
IBM model 1, 512 K, green on grey monitor, dot matrix printer, $2500 in 1983. (My dad got the same thing, but with 256 K, one year earlier for $5000.)
i know, but isn't a great threat?
I tell students that they need to learn only three things:
I collect turtles. They are the symbol (not mascot) of Beloit College—I'm a 1969 grad. I have maybe 150 turtles, from 18k gold to soap and from 1/2" long to 2' tall.
coming in EARLY doesn't get you noticed...your boss probably isn't there. staying LATE is what matters.
better yet, cook a lot of rice at one time, put it into meal-size portions and freeze it. to heat it up, add a T. of water per cup and microwave 2 min./cup. taste just like fresh made.
