huh i thought the third season did a much better job than the second at handling the spiraling out of control plot, and that by the end of the thrid season it had returned to the strengths of the first season. glad to hear that the fourth season seems to be prioritizing focus over plot twists, looking forward to

does anyone know what the history between the boedeckers and hood is? i dont recall ever seeing them before

possibly GOAT episode of fresh off the boat for me. Both storylines clicked and landed incredibly well, and were thematically connected. the emotional beats were great, and it was hilarious from start to finish. And i could not stop laughing at that quick shot of the kid from true detective passed out covered in chili

i agree that he has a very limited range, but i still think he's really good at acting within that range.

grandma huang's spite over louis's superior wheelchair killed me. I wish they'd incorporate her into the main plots more often.

holy. shit. that was an awesome trailer but way too spoilery imo. disappointed i watched it but god i am hype as fuck

aggressively mediocre is the perfect way to describe tom hooper movies

really happy to see clayne crawford on here. he was incredible on rectify this year

great episode, great review. Josh's storyline was heartbreaking and this was one of the best episodes of the season imo.

second season has been much better imo. i wouldnt put it in top 5 comedies on tv but maybe top ten.

yea i can understand that but for me it just makes those sequences more powerful, and I think the way they were raised really says a lot about how they act now. plus worth it for the acting

In regards to comedies that don't make you laugh out loud, I think a lot of comedies these days are focusing more on character and less on humor, which is a doubled edge sword. Theres a lot of comedies on tv now with characters as fleshed out and interesting as the best dramas on tv, but not that many good laugh out

I thought the whole bottles sequence and alex's explanation of it to emmy were really powerful. same with his confrontation with laura. really good episode all around though.

hmm i definently laugh more at casual than togetherness and transparent but the latter two hit me harder emotionally

I haven't watched married, but compared to casual the other two shows i think have a lot more depth (especially as they go on) and they demand a lot more from viewers, but also give a lot more in return. Casual, for lack of a better term, is more casual than these two shows but i think its doing a great job doing what

personally, i'm loving this show and i have little to no experience watching the work of the people involved. it's funny with great characters and even though its pretty bleak, there's something really warm about the way these people who are so disconnected from the world can at least come together at the end of the

I thought this was episode was hilarious, with the rosa plot being a highlight. scully and hitchcock never fail to make me laugh, and stephanie beatriz killed it.

I think the creators themselves have said looking back on the show that the first three season were awful. i still find a lot of those episodes funny but it definently got better once it combined its crudeness with satire

the last couple seasons of this show were pretty mediocre, but damn that premiere was hilarious! I hope they can keep it up!

B-? i thought that episode was amazing
