Show me where in my comment I said she’s the one who’s in the right. I don’t know all the ins and outs of her contract and whether she has a case or not, and I’m not expressing an opinion on the merits of the case. I’m just saying that I don’t like it when the side with more money acts like the other side should be

She deserves to be paid a fair portion of what she makes for Disney. I’m all for taxing her, Disney and any other super rich entity as much as possible, but she earned billions of Disney so she should be paid accordingly. Pure and simple.

I hate it when the people who are obligated to pay a celebrity try to get the public on their side by pointing out how much said celebrity makes. Usually it’s sports team owners saying something like, “We’ve already made him a multi-millionaire; what more could he possibly want?” and I just want to smash things,

She joins a very old, very long list of people Disney has fucked over the years, and her high profile is a plus in this ongoing opposition to the fuckery by the House of the Mouse.

In this situation, she’s labor. Extremely well paid, but still labor. I’ll side with her the same way I do millionaire athletes vs. their billionaire robber baron owners.

I don’t care how much money someone has, if they’re getting screwed over for money that should be theirs, then I hope they get it.  Other than that, eat the rich.

Yes, she has millions. But, Disney has BILLIONS!!!! They can easily pay her her fair share, which is very fair since she’s been a big player in the MCU since 2010. I’m sure a lot of people went to see those movies because of her, just like how people go to see athletes play sports and not the billionaire owners who

This is 100% a move for the future/others, and Scarlet may be the figurehead here but it’s almost certainly powered by her agent(s). The agents want their clients to make more money so they make more money.

A rich asshole clock is still right twice a day.
Scarjo is owed money along with everyone else who was depending on those box office sales.
She’s just the loudest voice, but this doesn’t start or end with her.

I think she actually has a hard legal case if there is a force majeure clause, which most contracts do and as a former big corporate attorney I would be shocked if there isn’t one. A force majeure clause allows a party to opt out of portions of contract based on unavoidable and uncontrollable circumstances. So to win,

I cannot get over just the sheer audacity of the Disney response. Not just that this multi-billion dollar company is invoking the pandemic tragedy as justification to seemingly breach their contract with Johansson, but then they claim that somehow Disney+ has enhanced her capability of earning additional

The writer and showrunner is Craig Mazin, who made the fantastic Chernobyl a few years ago. He’s also an authentic gamer and describes this as his dream project, so I think there’s reason to think it will be good.

Maybe he’s just in his “Dragnet” and “Turner and Hooch” phase of Hanks’ career? Did anyone think Hanks was a great actor until Philadelphia?

He’s clearly setting himself up to be the replacement Hanks.

He was asked about it and he answered it.

Plot twist: that ranger died 27 years ago, and never left.

Was about to say...

“I’m like a seahorse out here,” he explained.”

For context:

My favorite thing is you said “don’t be a Highlight Truther or you’re a piece of shit, it’s immediately followed by Highlight Truthers lol
