@Purple Dave: I will say this JMS is a genius, there is a reason he was able to pull off the writing for B5. It's probably possible for someone else to be able to do it, but I'm not so sure Darabont can pull it off. He's no JMS, not many people are to be honest.

@musiqrulez: Shouldn't there be a way to emulate that hardware in a software package? I'm sure it's easier said than done

@Live N Learn: Yeah I've been using boxee on htpc/laptops for a while. The only kicker is that version 1.0, which ships with said boxee box is not ready for PC/MAC/Apple TV gen 1 yet. To be honest if they are going to take out features like netflix in v 1.0 for PC I'll stick with 0.9xxxx that I have.

@kasakka: I wonder who makes those shirts.

@smegz: I love how she keeps going back!

@Dezerus Richardson: Don't you think Google should have gotten this stuff out of the way before selling the product? You may be right that it may kill Google TV

I'd love to see Charlie Daniels on this bad boy!

@minjin: You do have a point, mainstream always gets a bad rap because it's mass produced....

@minjin: I think people fail to remember that before they knew what real italian food was, Olive Garden was great to them! I know it's place in the restaurant world but I also know what real italian food is.

@leeit2me: Exactly! HPs best move was to buy Compaq thus absorbing

@KeyserSöze: Thomas Keller has a recipe in his book called "ad hoc at home" where he takes a high powered blow torch to the prime rib before a low temp roast. I would trust anything that man does!

@Ninety-9: So this technique is best then. You have a steak that's pink from end to end and all you have to do is sear to create a wonderful crust!

@jacklinguini: Really this technique is best utilized by restaurants. They can keep MANY pieces of protein at temperature for as long as they want. They pull something out and sear it, then viola they can serve it. For the home cook it's an interesting thing to employ because as you said, we can just grill a steak.

@gonchu.b: I agree, at the least they could put in a core i3!

@DarthSnuggles: That's an excellent point, the mba would send a better message than the red and black attack ala alienware!

@gonchu.b: But it gets you into that exclusive club of people who pay way too much for a computer!!

@DarthSnuggles: Actually my travel companion is my 3G iPad, but I do see your point. It seems that Apple did kill all the sub 10" netbooks by having an 11" but also by having the great resolution to boot. Still I have to say it's funny that some people are expecting 12 core Xenon macpro performance out of this

@DarthSnuggles: I tend to agree about the memory, the other stuff I can deal with like ports or lack of ethernet. I'm still not convinced this is a desktop replacement mac, but rather a great travel companion.

@s1nister912: that's what I thought too, that it was film of a person walking by Mann's Chinese theater in LA...

Not sure if anyone has seen a recipe that calls for wrapping food in plastic wrap before wrapping it in foil, but it's totally safe. A lot of indoor BBQ recipes call for wrapping meat in plastic wrap before foiling. Normally those recipes say never heat the oven higher than 275F. I've done it many times!
