Awesome! I'll track em down.
Awesome! I'll track em down.
It does have a refreshing old school feel! I read the Rebirth special and and #1 of Superman, and I'm gonna pick up the trade soon. Action hasn't really spoken to me, but from what I hear about Detective that might be.
Thanks for the tips!
Reading this made me sad because half the books you listed either ended or got canceled =( I'm still not ready to accept a world without Vision and Howard.
It's my sleeper hit of Rebirth. I went into it with fairly low expectations aside from the fact that Jimenez is amazing and I couldn't have been more blown away. Each issue is pretty dense, but not in a way that makes it hard to get through, but rather makes you feel like you're getting a 32 pages story instead of 20…
That sounds like an awesome idea!
Sweet! Thanks.
Nice! Daytripper I would say is my all time favorite graphic novel, so I'm definitely going to have it in one if not both of the groups. Nextwave is one of the greatest things ever created, but I don't want to offer that to the newbies too soon. Once you've seen the glory (or horror?) of Fing Fang Foom, it's hard to…
Hey all! I'm starting two book clubs at my local shop, one for beginners and one for long time readers, and I've been trying to put together some good reading lists for both. What would you all say are good books for each group? I want to have a good mix of Big 2 stuff as well as some indie/small press stuff.
Especially after, as they mention, he already leveled half a major American city and was responsible for the death of who knows how many. They pointed out plotholes I didn't even think about.
The Flophouse finally did Batman V Superman, and it was so, so glorious! Probably one of the best episodes they've ever done. Michael Cain and visionary director Zack Snyder even show up!
I think one thing you have to take into account is that Tamaki has to work off of what Bendis set up in Civil War II, so it might be a bit strange for She Hulk to wake up out of a coma, find out Hawkeye killed her cousin, and go have fun adventures. My hope is it takes on a Waid Daredevil vibe with the darkness…
Again I see your taking this really personally but since we're making broad generalizations about people based on internet comments about a TV show, I'll clarify a bit more to assure you I'm not a heartless, cynical, Christmas hating monster.
I mean right now we're arguing about a TV Christmas Special which seems pretty silly to me. I didn't really care for this special, but seems like you really did which is also cool. Glad you liked it.
I think I would have liked that idea a bit more. Basically if this 8 year olds wish fulfillment had gone to the extreme and he had effected all of reality to create his own perfect world, but also inadvertently brought this alien threat to the world and had to team up with the doctor to defeat it. Basically more of a…
Well having the baby monitor by you is baby sitting 101. I'd expect him to have it close by because he's a 30 something year old man and not 14.
Oh, all of that was just from my love of Silver Age craziness. Same as Rainbow Batman, and Jimmy Olson marrying random animals.
Well if you want to do classic Superman and Lois Lane, one or both of them should have turned into babies, or become a lion, or blackmailed the other into marriage, or tried to kill the other to teach them a lesson, or become black, or…
I don't know, I felt that Grant was just really creepy. It wasn't like he was an actual child care provider working across the city, he was just using Lucy's child as an excuse to be around her. Also her realization that Grant was a hero because he was a nanny was pretty bad even for schmaltzy Doctor Who standards. I…
Awesome to see all the work Rosenberg is getting. We Can Never Go Home was awesome and Four Kids Walk Into A Bank is just as good if not better. Excited to see what he can do with Rocket, Kingpin, and Secret Warriors.
