As a self publisher from Baltimore I have to point out that SPX is in Bethesda, Maryland which is just outside of D.C. We do however have Baltimore Comic Con which is a great show but not the same kind of small press showcase as SPX.

I got so lost reading this thread I forgot this was a newswire about Jessica Williams.
All this sounds good, but would they bring back Fukunaga as well? He was such a huge part of the visual style and without him, I don't know if they could capture that same sense of Gothic Noir.
To add to your point, I think one of the biggest problems with CGI costumes is the actor now not only has to interact with an imaginary set, and imaginary enemies, but now an imaginary outfit, which is a lot to ask. Having a physical costume at least allows them to get more into character, especially when everyone…
It really does suck. And the crazy thing is, because these events happen so frequently, and usually revolve around a major character death or resurrection, that connection is getting weaker because the audience know that nothing lasts anymore. Perfect example is happening right now with Civil War II. Those books are…
Haha I knew that was going to happen when I posted this but I didn't want to do a whole other paragraph clarifying. Death of Superman as an event was definitely a cash grab and past the first two issues (including all the post event fallout) devolved into just a confusing mess. But the initial set up and the impact of…
I didn't, bit Cyborg is a different kind of deal since basically the only thing that wont be CGI is a quarter of his face. I'm not saying they can't do it well, but it could also turn out really distracting and awkward.
To be fair though, you can't compare a TV budget to film. I'm definitely someone who prefers practical effects and costume to CGI if it can be helped, and I think they could do a solid job and integrate some modern robotic aesthetics with his traditional costume. Obviously he'll be full CGI for all the action…
Not to mention CGI Cyborg. Did they learn nothing from Green Lantern?
Of the many, many problems with BvS, one of the biggest is the total lack of interaction and relationship of Batman and Superman (and to a lesser extent Wonder Woman). They made the movie based on the supposition that hardcore fans would get all the references and casual fans would be drawn because it's Batman and…
At this point I'm just waiting for them to cast Kumail and Reggie Watts and just have two solid hours of stand up.
Well I'm still pulling for Mysterio at some point, Chameleon could be good as well as Kraven. Really just put together a good cast for the Sinister Six and I'm sold. Plus Venom still needs a proper on screen intro.
True, but they could make it more of a sitcom with action than something like Legends of Tomorrow, which itself doesn't seem like a cheap show. I'm interested to see how much MM we get now that Supergirl is on the CW.
Has anybody read the Dini Batman graphic novel that came out this week? I'm really intrigued and the previews I've seen are terrific.
Ugh, I forgot that Manhunter was now available to the CW-verse. Thanks for reminding me about the JLI show we'll never get.
I'd definitely like to see the cruiserweight belt come back. This tournament has me intrigued and I'm hoping it leads to big things. They need to do something to make both shows unique.
Interesting. On the one hand, keeping the belts the way they are make them seem more important if there's only one of each. On the other hand, it's a little hard to have both shows feel equally important if one has all the main belts and the other has all the second tier ones.
So have they discussed how belts are going to work with the brand split yet? Are they bringing back the WHC? And will there be two Women's and Tag belts? I like the idea of keeping things as is with the exception of the IC and US belt being brand exclusive. Everything else is up for grabs across both brands.
Correction, Kate Bishop IS Hawkeye.
Millennials yell at cloud! (But not like an actual cloud, the internet one…you know like…heh heh…okay I'll just go stand over there. )
