Not only that, this type of help makes me think that the scrap info is stored client side.  How does uninstalling the game and then reinstalling the game help recover the lost scrap that is saved server side?

I agree, I have a level 165ish player and losing 400 weight units of scrap due to a shitty bug that was untested is hours of work lost and I would be unbelievably pissed off.

I want local hosted private worlds for FREE and the option to buy a dedicated server that you as the buyer select who can join the server.  But that will never happen.

It's to the point where Bethesda should charge an item that crashes and deletes the character for $30 USD and see if anyone buys it.
