The problem with your argument is he was trying to like the game and it failed. Making a game, you have to make it to appeal to a wide variety of people. Unless the IP name is Mario, Zelda, or maybe Final Fantasy 7 (lol) trying to appeal to mostly to your fan base is a high risk of failure.

Yes very true, knowing Activision it's going to be just free maps for this service, and it's going to be only few maps that's probably going to be cheaper just to buy as a downloadable package, or they'll do some asshole move where if you cancel the subscription they will disable the maps (or both lol).
