Yeah I grew up in midwestern town of 30k people. We had dole whip.

I’ve got a different method, but it’s a bit more complicated, but it’s really stuff you should be doing anyway.

I feel like after you grow to a certain number of cars you’re no long a C&C meetup but a full fledged carshow. I think that number should be the number of seats in the coffee shop.

How durable are the slim hangers? Are they as durable as quality plastic hangers? W/ those I lose more than I break.

Buying on sale will almost always beat buying in bulk. Bulk might save you 20% in the most liberal estimates. Sale prices vary but typically I don’t think of something being on sale unless it’s more than 20%. Yeah some items never go on sale, but some items also cost the same in bulk. Then add on a yearly membership

Honestly I have no clue how I survived traveling before the age of mobile phones, and the internet. Most travel advice was written in books that were out of date before they went to print. Giant dictionary/phrase books, and charades was your google translate.  You either carried all you think you needed in cash, or

Maybe lower yourself to a 2014 428i, and you’ll come out ahead, but have a worse car. Assuming you bought it new you’ve absorbed most the depreciation on the Kia might as well keep it for a while.

I think in large active markets yelp is very accurate, but when you start using it in smaller towns or for new businesses it can be a bit dicey. Also the type of business can influence scores for example towing companies tend to have low scores because many people are towed involuntarily.

Honestly I think a lot of the

$1.99 Large bag frozen = 2lbs. $1.99 Fresh potatoes = 5lbs
I’m still buying the frozen though.

So get it detailed before you list it on craigslist? this isn’t really a practical reason to constantly spend $10 a week/month to wash your car.

I’d almost prefer they put me in a coffin and load it up.

When I saw they came out w/ pretzel hot pockets I was tempted... sadly in my heart I knew it would just be disappointment so I never tried them.

This seems inconsiderate and wasteful. One of the great things about books is they hold their quality and value 2nd hand (use value not monetary).  Cutting it in half pretty much means it’s going into the trash over getting sold 2nd hand.

I’ll say it one last time... peat and smoke are two different flavors. Period.

All peat is smoked, but not all smoke is peat.

That’s a common misconception. The smokey flavor comes from charring the barrel not from smoking the barley. Find a nonpeat Scotch that chars their barrels and compare it to one that smokes their barley, but doesn’t char their barrels. You’ll notice a major difference in flavor as I explained above.

Peaty is an earthy grass, or moss type flavor.

I tend to have an issue at Scotch bars, and now the more trendy Mezcal bars. I like scotch but really don’t keep up w/ it at all. So I’ll say what I want using the terms like peaty, smooth, smokey, or sweet but I’m always worried I’m gonna get hit w/ a $200 surprise, and I feel weird asking the price more than once.

Correlation does not equal causation? Seems like they’re not able to actually pin down speed as the cause of the increased accidents. People who were against the increase in the first place are using it as a platform.

I think in the aspect of road saftey you need highways where a majority of people are going the same

I’ve walked out of a few interviews but one stuck w/ me pretty hard because I knew some of the people I was interviewing w/. My first interview is w/ the manager who I didn’t know and after going through the basic responsibilities of the job I expressed concern that the job responsibilities were not realistic. Then
