Publicly traded companies are at the whim of shareholders (mostly the majority share holder if one exists). In this case it's Hiroshi Yamauchi who's already in his 80's. I don't know what his will says, but his heirs are not big fans of Nintendo, and if the shares are left to them they'll likely sell them off to the

They haven't been a publicly traded company for 124 years...

This is just horribly written... I understood the 3rd panel as being a vocative case so I thought the kid's name was gamestop (also backed by the G on his forehead which is probably just a poorly placed tuft of hair). Then I'm trying to figure out the connection of the father, a sega saturn, and their gamestop

QUOTE | "I don't think they should have had a physical drive on Xbox One—it's like having a dead body handcuffed to you."—David Darling,

I'm curious to see how successful the steam sale was from valve's unbiased perspective. I agree from a deal savvy consumer standpoint the sale was lackluster, but I feel that the sale's reputation and consumer ignorance could of pushed the success. For example let's look at Bioshock Infinite. Most people didn't

I really hate the fact women have to "prove" their credibility when it comes to gaming culture. If I was held up to the same standard I'd probably get a "fake gamer dude" warning sticker.

Let me explain where the idea of a summer game drought came from. Back in the 80's most games were sold to younger kids who relied on their parents to buy them games. For the most part this meant a majority of sales were made around the winter holiday season. Most publishers seeing the pattern would time their AAA

It's totally racist, but I don't believe that the editors at the Chicago Sun-Times meant it to be. This is what happens when you live in a PC world... some people are just ignorant to what's offensive. Hence the "chink in the armor" headline. I feel like these people have no clue, or didn't make the connection when

Collectors don't spend $10k on something just because it's rare. There are plenty of rare artifacts that are worthless because there's no demand for them. Normally demand is created through popularity, or historical significance. From what I can see this game has neither.

For example Star Wars Ewok Adventure for the

I'm surprised there's so much interest in this game. Yea it's super rare, but just because something is rare doesn't mean it's valuable. I guess I'm just confused why collectors seek this particular game.

'They're just replaceable meat puppets,' and that's never, ever true."—Gordon Walton

Has anybody seen how much this game is actually going to cost?

Anyway assuming it has a solid amount of gameplay value I'd say this is how DLC should be done.

I kinda feel bad for the guy. We have no clue what he was like in real life. He could of been a great person and was just being douche online to blow off steam. It worries me that people can be fired so easily over a few comments these days.

I'd have to say I'm really glad you guys cover more than just games. My favorite additions have been snacktaku, and the board games articles. Anyway here's my suggestions for new articles.

This isn't uncommon for party planners, and it's not uncommon to have no clue where these people came from. What's really awkward is when the people hired don't fit in w/ the crowd, or nobody shows up.

Maybe the DJ paid them, maybe the venue they rented out, maybe it was notch, or McCarthy. Hell maybe none of them

The THQ auction happened pretty fast so very few US companies jumped on it... didn't you notice that only Canadian, and EU companies bought a majority of the IPs offered (take-two was the only company that actually won anything in the auction, ZeniMax, and Turtle Rock did bid). Anyway this auction has been sitting

"We don't think that there are enough games for mature, adult players."—While this may feel like he's knocking the industry for being "kiddy" what he's actually saying is there's a gap in the market.

"unofficial steam box console"

"$299 is the magic price point for PS4." Magic price point yes... but I doubt Sony can go that low. $350 is more realistic, and I'm gonna guess $400 since sony tends to inflate price points a bit.

Actually he's not that far off. Charities tend to attract "thieves", and they rarely report it because it really hurts donations. Now these aren't your normal smash and grab thieves like Skursky, but people who know how to embezzle money, and get to positions to have the access to cover it up.
