That’s what the bride and groom get for not allowing children in the first place... bound to cause situations like this where people can’t attend due to lack of available childcare...

I’m glad that worked at your wedding, but I attended a wedding where there were no place settings and it was a total nightmare getting your food and then trying to find a place to seat, which of course was unable to be near our friends so didn’t get that important dinner bonding time... felt very odd to be…
Even good friends get it wrong sometimes about whether their friend wants to hear the truth or lies. Sometimes you just don’t know and pick one and deal with the consequences. Best to error on the side of maintaining the friendship so you can be there to help them pick up the pieces after their bad decisions.
Yeah but it’s for an IT desk, so his “customers” are other employees of his organization. I’d imagine that’s a slightly different customer service scenario than catering to the masses...
I dunno man, but somehow I’ve survived this long doing it! :P
No... people actually do keep their shoes on in houses in the US. Hard to believe, I know...
“I love my shoes. I think if somebody is anal about their floor, they should have a pair of slippers for me to wear when I come over so I don’t have to dirty my socks on their floor.”
Oh you beat me to it! Shoulda kept reading before adding my comment about barefeet oils, lol.
We have no policy in our home, shoes on or off is fine. I usually take my shoes off just because I prefer socks or barefooted. I have slippers to keep my feet warm in winter, not to keep them from being dirty.
I keep only my most commonly used shoes in the shoe rack by the door, the rest live in my closet.
At least he wasn’t lying about his allergies!!! LOL
Allergies are mysterious and don’t always result in death. There’s anaphylactic shock, and then there’s latent reactions (like hives). So people could possibly be talking about a non-life-threatening but still super annoying latent reaction to sodium and sugar and stuff like that.
“what does human taste like”
Oh so THAT’s what killed the Lieutenant in Cryptonomicon...
I’m fantasizing about explaining to this girl what a cheeseburger is and how wrong she is right now...
Ahh! So it’s not as universal as I thought, and one shouldn’t just grab any centerpiece without being invited to do so! lol
So, Celebitchy hasn’t really attended any formal events and doesn’t understand what is normal and encouraged is the story here, right?
It’s not really stealing if it’s expected, right?
Taking centerpieces from dinners and events is totally normal and encouraged, as they usually get thrown out immediately afterwards... my mom jokes about how Italian/Polish/Slovenian events she attended as a child treated it like a raffle: “If you have the yellow sticker under your plate, you win the centerpiece!” “Oh…
“I should be beyond the having-barely-any-savings-to-speak-of stage.”
