I wrote a fun little review of shopping carts at my grocery store in case anyone wants a little chuckle

Didn’t want to change anything when they took the EU Ford platform. It’s fine (kinda) for RHD people. Still a little weird pulling up carpet though.

I work at a Chevy dealer and drive a Volvo c30. I wanted to change my air filter but couldn’t find it so I had the tech look it up. When he read you have to remove the accelerator pedal he was speechless

Newer Chevys require the whole front fascia to be removed in order to change the headlight bulbs. It’s about $100 by the dealer.

Best way to buy a Volvo

When I shared mine, I didn’t realize it was going to be composed into a list. I was hoping that it would kinda lay dormant in the comments

Should’ve been a little more clear. My parents technically had the lease in their names. But I paid all the payments and insurance and maintainence. I just needed their credit.

I got very lucky. I refused the fast food route. I started off as a busser so I got tipped out. Now I’m a server. I got a really lucky start.

Yeah. But 16 year old me thought it would work. Her BF had a 68 Firebird and a 13 Challenger SRT8 Yellow Jacket and a lifted Duramax. The Challenger and the truck are ultimate chick magnets in the south.

That was the first year that they used the 5 speed auto instead of the 4 speed. Don’t buy a 2000. And don’t buy one with a rebuilt title. Especially when it was treated terribly.

The lack thereof makes a horny teen crazy.

I had been working and saving since I was 14. The lease was crazy cheap since we got dealer pricing and the 14s were almost out. $500 down and $149 a month.

It was in my parents name but I paid the full amount. I just needed their credit.

I know. But I worked for it. Since i was 14 I was working and saving up. My parents didn’t pay for anything. The only thing they did was put the lease in their name and let me on their insurance policy

Two big reasons: first they are expensive to maintain. Second, they have crazy depreciation. Even a little fender bender can render the car totalled because replacement parts cost a hell of a lot.

Wasn’t aware at first of the bf. This was over a 5 month period...

My 2000 Volvo V70R

Still prefer Volvos 6X6 beast

Very true. However I can certainly see these tankers getting abused to hell at some point in there many years of service. One sloppy operator or storm could Dent it and then the result could happen.

It does work well for that, I have to give him that
