Only took about 13 months!

Got the charging system failure warning Saturday night. Was trying to drive it to the dealer when everything imaginable went wrong; had to coast off the road (lost brakes, throttle, and power steering).

I guess this is how it begins. I actually got it somewhat on accident; I found it on eBay and bid. And no one else did so it’s mine! Came from Portugal which was pretty cool. Now I want more. RIP wallet

For deciding these are the kinds of cars kids want to play with! Truthfully I love models of seemingly boring, everyday cars. 

Went looking for the Cargo Carriers set (which I’ve still only been able to find the Gulf Ford van) but ended up finding all this. Euro Speed set has some really nice graphics. I hadn’t ever heard or seen the classic Anniversary cars (gotta try and find the last two now) and I love Jurassic Park so I had to get the 5…

Got so lucky last night. Employee was literally stocking the shelf with them as I was walking by. Was able to get all of them. They have some really cool little details like the 50th anniversary stamped on the rear quarterpanel and the tinted glass.

Sorry I’ve been so absent around these parts. The Volvo is sounding better than ever thanks to a little (read: wallet crushing) Borla catback GT exhaust.

There were like 5 of them on the end cap at the last Kmart within 75 miles of me.

From my quick eBay hunting people are going crazy over the CRX. My Walmart just stocked these; there were 2 or 3 more sets.

So my store just put these out last night! However, again, one is missing from the complete set. I’d really like to complete this set. If anyone finds an extra Datsun 510 please let me know! Also, I’m looking for the Subaru WRX from the Cars and Coffee set which had the same issue. I don’t know who this person is…

But I really love it. Going up on the wall soon!

They were the only 4. They were mixed in with a bunch of freshly displayed Fast and Furious stuff. I’m so sad I couldn’t find the Subaru so please please please if you see one I want to buy it off of you!!!!

2001 Kia Optima vs 2013 Volvo S60. Volvo won. But this won’t buff out. Stopped at a stop sign and he hit us doing at least 25.

Good ol’ premium fuel too. On the highway I can break 30. But in the city, constantly stopping and going I’m hurting. Still love this damn thing though.

It was already on sale at Walmart so I figured why not? I loved the older ones and want a challenge so hopefully it won’t dissapoint.

Left Friday morning at about 3:30 for Nashville. Spent all day Saturday with some fellow opponauts. Left the hotel at 11:30am Sunday and got home 2:45am Monday. That’s more mileage in a weekend than I do in 4 months. Huge photo dumps incoming.
