Yes, yes thank you for the prominent correction!

Ah I see, that makes sense :)

“Having events that showcase women competing will encourage more women to enter competition, and help to foster an environment that is less hostile to women.”

ha, you beat me to it, just asked the same thing.

Why are E-Sports gender segregated anyway?

“but I heard they were pretty great and kind of Zelda-esque?”

I mean, I’m fine with this, were I a call of duty fan it wouldn’t lessen my enjoyment of the game in any significant manner, but doesn’t it come off as a little bit pandery to anyone else?

“Those are numbers from the Pew Research Center, they are accurate. It’s 48% of women that play video games. Nearly half the women out there are playing video games.”

“I hope I don’t sound trollish when I question your statement that “50% of gamers are women.” Is that a legit stat, or more of a general assumption?”

Well, thank god that’s over.

“Depends on whether or not the person considers you a loser/consolepeasant/uncool for not having the same console/tastes/OverwatchMain.”

Yeah, where i come from, one raise away from six figures is comfortable but it sure as hell isn’t Bentley money.

“But women, particularly young women, are regularly called ‘cows’ or ‘twigs’ or some word with the intention of shaming them for not have the exact desired genetics of the speaker.”

“I grew up as a chubby gay boy, so trust me, I understand the pressures on men to look and act a certain way. It is still nowhere close to what women experience on a daily basis.”

I know this is sort of an unpopular opinion, but I think Spec-Ops: The Line’s story is super overrated.

Watched one episode of this show and was seriously unimpressed by the writing, casting, and acting.

“Did this ad fail where “Hilltop” succeeded because it’s a shittier campaign, or because we’ve all become more conscious consumers?”

Maybe they should have, you know, not made garbage products.

Yeah, don’t get me wrong, I love this game, and I think that overall John Gonzalez and the rest of Guerilla did an amazing job.
