Thank you for reminding us of this again.  This is a very cool project.

Going to once again shill my own little project here, like I do every six months:

The fact that they didn’t have a test with these exact variables is not surprising because when testing software you will NEVER have enough time to test everything.

The creator isn’t sure what’s hateful about denying the Holocaust?

A significant number of the Unity Developers where I work - work in Ukraine, I’m always low-key worried about them. I’ve given training sessions to people with air raid sirens sounding in the background, had presenters dissapear during meetings due to sudden power outages, and had people tell me “I’ll try to do that

We have a couple designers that work from home in Ukraine... and it makes me beyond sad that they’re in a position where they have to confirm they’re still ok at the start of a zoom session.

What’d you expect? The guy to actually admit he was over his head? Humility in tech culture? That ain’t it.

You forgot to mention the Twitter Space that Hotz hosted yesterday, where Musk naively called for a “total rewrite” of the whole twitter stack, and then received well deserved pushback from an actual engineer:

Surprise, surprise. Sadly he didn’t even manage to learn enough to change his mind about twitter only needing to be “50 people”.

Twitter probably can’t get down to less than 50 LAWYERS, much less 50 employees. Even the idea of only 50 engineers is patently ridiculous. You’re going to need that many people to just

If stuff like this happened more often, I’d be watching Twitch all the time.

Honestly I don’t think most people realized that they could try and prevent a merger. I never heard of the The Clayton Antitrust Act of 1914 until I read it here. Maybe this will be a launch pad to use this against mergers that actually matter verse this crap use.

Indeed, just another point that console gamers are the worst. But makes sense, these incels don’t want the women of acti-blizz to have a proper workplace. Goes against their religion/cult...

Better yet, the FTC should investigate Sony’s anti-competitive practices given the fact that Sony holds the dominant share of gaming software sales. Why is the market leader allowed to pay publishers and developers to withhold content from its competitors?

Yep. This merger is good news all the way around. It’ll actually make the market MORE competitive, not less, by improving the attractiveness of the Xbox platform, and for anyone who works at Activision Blizzard, things will get much, much better.

I’m generally all for anti-trust laws but in this case you have a company known for a generally respectful workplace and decent pay (relative to the standards of corporate America) taking over an absolute cesspool of a company that has treated their female employees and customers like crap. Seems like the lives of

Seems very on point.  He’s just working for a new company doing the same thing the old one did, offering garbage products only suckers would spend money on.

I just find it funny that he does an aside to say “I’m not dissing the company, I’m just really passionate and set the bar exceptionally high and you’re reading way too much into it”, then proceeds to very much diss the company.

I don’t care how far he gets, as long as he goes.

How soon until we’ll get the same Tweet from Musk on Mars?
