It would be easy if Obama over the course of his 8yrs hadn’t abdicated his responsibility to this country to solve our immigration loopholes. Now, a foreign army comes to our border with expectations we let them in b/c of the numbers...we won’t be held ransom to their demands. We are a sovereign nation and we must

He’s Hispanic...with tons of criminal offenses.  Way to go Dems for keeping him on the streets.

You know what would really help these Brazilian women, 7,000 additional Central Americans who desperately want a better life.

Three cars of people on a highway, a dozen en route to a location, a few families traveling together...that’s a caravan.  7,000 people with one intention coming to our borders in mass is out of control!

The USA is not beholden to the UN.  We are our own sovereign nation despite globalists pleas.  We can play nice with others...but doesn’t mean we are not masters of our own fate.

Involvement to stop the growth of Communism or stem the tide of conflict here is money well spent.  Democracy isn’t a right, it’s a goal that if peoples don’t take seriously find disaster.

As they imply, our involvement was to stop the growth of Communism.  Obviously those peoples have fundamental ideological differences from us that have nothing to do with us...so ultimately, as those articles prove, they are responsible for their issues, not us.

We are not responsible for other countries as you are implying.

As America, the greatest country on the face of the Earth, yes, we have a real opportunity to have a bi/multilingual judge presiding over such a case. But, let’s not pretend it’s a pre-requisite. There are judges in China, India, Iran etc...that may very well do a similar job with a similar impediment and nobody care.

Yeah, I am just saying that for them, the 2yr old in a detention center cared for by a foreign government is far better than their current circumstance.  I believe it.  But as you say, that doesn’t mean we are obligated to act on that.  We would not make that choice for our children, but we live in the greatest

Why do they have a right to petition for asylum?  Because of the great citizenry and government of the USA!  A caravan though is an invasion.

They messed up their own land. We aren’t responsible for that.

Can we just accept these 7,000 and put a moratorium on 7,000 from other regions?

This reminds me of the Wizard of Oz where Dorothy sold the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion a bill of goods on a wonderful Wizard who could and would solve all their problems. The reality is that the Wizard could not and would not help them...he sent them packing. Ultimately they proved themselves worthy...but 7,000 people

So, let’s be honest.  7,000 people are coming to our border with the expectation that they will be let in and given respite, resources and free movement into our country.  When they get here, our military, at the advise of our government and citizenry will deny a large portion of them.  This will not deter those 7,000

I think when people come to ask for asylum, yes, they have that right.  We also can deny them.  When 7,000 people in a caravan come to our border, it becomes a national emergency, a possible political, cultural or social invasion and as a citizenry we must decide the right course.  We just happen to be riding a tide

Every citizenry has a real and true obligation to choose virtuous forms of government, ways of working and human rights respect.  The United States of America is a beacon.  Any countries path to destruction and disorder is at their hands, not ours.

While every country will have citizens that engage in acts of terror or horrible human behavior, when we speak of “Arab” terrorism, it is a very real way of life in the middle east and it is imperative we remain on high alert here in our country to avoid importing such enemies of our state.

I don’t think anyone would say these 7,000 aren’t making the most logical choice for their lives.  But, they aren’t citizens.  As a nation, we choose the path to citizenship.  Nobody born outside these borders has a right to determine their US citizenship.  They are citizens of another land...part of their moral

I think you have to take those people at their word. While we may struggle with the idea of our 2yr old in a center w/out family but cared for by the goverment, these people find it the better choice. We have to take them at their word. By 10, Fernanda may very well be living in a wonderful Texas town, excelling in
