I can’t comment for mileage, but I can tell you that I still very much feel the power drain with AC on.  That probably has most to do with a lack of power generally.

I feel for him. When I was in high school, I once got beat up by this guy while his friend held me down. The worst part was about a dozen people surrounded us—they just watched and made no effort to help me at all. The humiliation was worse than the physical pain.
