Finished a pretty crumby B level novel called "Positive"… Zombie apocalypse story. I finished it, so I guess it can't be that bad… but it was pretty much empty calorie style reading. Think I discovered it via a top-10 recent horror book type list… not sure who the hell was doing the picking, haha.

this comment format is total fucking bullshit.

Fuck you… this movie was/is a legit good time, and I'm no Whedon fan.

No, for a few certain types of crime, I feel there is no amount of repenting one can do to be forgiven.

More power than you may think.

Attempted rape puts one into the 'monster' category in my book.

The 'not knowing' part I agree with. I usually don't jump into this stuff when such shoddy reporting is what we have for info. I got frustrated by all the "20 years for stealing perfume?!" comments I saw and got carried away.

"Trying to rape that girl was the best thing to ever happen to me!"

LOL — I just used the same analogy of Jean Valjean. Only problem is, ol' Jean didn't try to rape anybody before he stole that bread. Unless I missed that chapter in French class.

What's the apology for, exactly?

You mean there's a problem with correcting the false narrative that he's a modern day Jean Valjean?

"A man matching Coe's name is a registered sex offender in California for attempted rape by force or fear."

lol —- google it, kiddo.

Yeah, I'm a real monster.

No, I'm saying that I have a different definition of 'human' than you do. The desire to rape someone precludes one from the club.

I'm not worried about a violent criminal's human rights, as they have no concern for anyone else's. There are some things you just can't 'pay your debt to society' for (in my book), rape and murder being the two off the top of my head.

Sounds good. I'm sure the girl he tried to rape feels better now that he's served a random amount of time in prison. It's like it never happened in the first place, yay!

He's a rapist. Should have been in for life with no parole BEFORE he stole the stupid perfume.

It is pretty funny that the sophomoric, juvenile sports news site I check out in the morning had more info in its article than the pretentious, self aggrandizing media/political hub that the AV Club has become.

Rape is non-violent?
