Gideon the Ninth was the best book I’ve read in the last two or three years, and I’m including The Warrior Moon, which was also fantastic, and This Is How You Lose the Time War, also fantastic and totally deserving of its own win. The Murders of Molly Southborn and its sequel The Survival of Molly Southborn were also

Gideon the Ninth was freaking amazing. Soooo glad it at least got nominated. Most original book I’ve read in a LONG time, and my favorite book of at least the last two to three years. Absolutely loved This Is How You Lose the Time War, too.

Thank you for correcting this.  It would be nice if CW would stop wasting everyone’s time and just run with the best chemistry on the show.

The flash forward was just incredible. Adora’s gown was flawless, just sheer perfection, but what pushed me over the emotional ledge was Catra’s over-the-shoulder mini cape that matched Adora’s look exactly. It immediately stated we’re together in an obvious yet stylish way that indicated real comfort with their

Considering MJ is currently being portrayed by Zendaya, who is ridiculously talented, this would be a fantastically good reworking of the character.

One of my dearly-missed cats who left us too soon loved to climb into drawers of dressers and chest-of-drawers. She’d squeeze in behind them, where often times there would be a gap because the furniture manufacturers usually don’t fully enclose the rear of the dressers with the little bit of particle board. She’d get

Can confirm that When Fates Collide is the real series finale.

Totally agree on Enchantress; that initial transformation and scene was one of the best, most original moments in Suicide Squad.  It’s a shame that they didn’t stick with that creepy, primal style for Enchantress for the rest of the movie.

Please note that the cast of Tank Girl includes two Oscar winners. That is not a typo.

Best comment of the year.

Hoping Maeve is getting Armistice and Hanaryo, her Japanese counterpart. Not only does picking those two for reinforcements make strong tactical sense because they’re both hardcore warriors, but I’ve loved the weird/sweet/creepy romance between them. They’d make a pair that’d give Dolores fits.

Strong early contender here.  And OMG for the porn DVD still left in the player.

I appreciate these article and all the great comments! Taking notes and trying to plan ahead for when my old faithful Bosch Tassimo T95 finally gives up, but it’s been going for twelve years now and still is fantastic.

City of Heroes: Homecoming.

Dr. Oz lost any credibility long ago, after all the scammy crap he’s tried to sell to the public.  As a heart surgeon, he was likely a very good heart surgeon and a good surgeon in general.  As any of kind of a doctor, he’s most likely terrible.

Thank you for this glorious article! (Bonus points for the borked-AF voting system; it really does fit the Eurovision spirit.)

There are several reasons why women have been pitted against each other for forever, and some are our own fault (pettiness, jealousy, anger).  But it’s much easier for an oppressive male-dominated power scene to fight off challenges from women resentful of inferior treatment when discord is sowed amongst them.

And make them safety scissors!

Surprised no one has mentioned colchicine, made from a plant that grows on the Greek isle Colchis, to treat gout. It’s essentially the same medicine that’s been used for the same purpose for three thousand years. It’s been proven effective and safe, produced and regulated as a prescription medication, unlike most of

Gideon the Ninth is absolutely amazing. And I’m convinced that its author is totally insane, but only in the best ways. It’s one of the most original and impressive books I’ve read in a while, and there have been some GOOD books recently. (This Is How You Lose the Time War is also incredible, btw.)
