To me, the most troubling thing as a black person is that many people believe that equality means pulling blacks up (and other minorities) and dragging whites down. Until we can convince more folks that equality actually means equal, we’ll still be stuck in the same shit we’re in today.

I can’t stand to hear him talk about “blacks” and the “inner cities”. Not all blacks live in inner cities AND many inner cities are thriving. I swear he talks about us “blacks” like we’re a different species living on a neighboring planet.

The point is that you go beyond the appearance of business associate when you ride the team plane, are in the locker room, on road trips, and in the White House team picture. Personally that aligns more with posse than it does “Business Partners”. How many other business partners ride the team plane?

I can see that but on the other hand, LeBron’s agents and handlers have been known for needing an extreme level of access for years. Team planes, team hotel, locker room etc. Honestly, posse kind of seems like a fitting word when you consider that no other player in the league has agents and handlers around the team…

As a black guy...It’s not. I like LeBron but this is hypersensitivity at its finest. Posse is nowhere near “thug”, “rioters”, “n*****”, or any number of other words.

I live this every...single...day. Only black guy on a staff of 100 and it feels like the only way to survive is to go “Full Carlton”. It’s even worse now because deep down, I know that at least half of these people supported Donald Fucking Drumpf. It’s a cold world, boss.

As a 31 year old black man, this is the most painful moment I’ve experienced in my entire life, that doesn’t involve death. The best way I can sum it up is that it feels like Donald Trump was able to rally more than 50,000,000 people to support his cause, by making my people, along with Latinos, occasionally Jews, and…
