I actually haven't seen the episodes yet, I'm waiting for my girlfriend to catch up with the earlier seasons, but I'd read the books last year, and boy, did that floor me.

Golden Slam (initially Golden Grand Slam) is all four majors and the Olympic Gold in the same calendar year. Only Steffie Graf has done this, in 1988.

Not going into too much detail, but in the books, there are a couple points where he could have left the town and gone back home with his daughters, and wouldn't have been pursued. Granted, this was before things got too rough, but regardless, his honor and being bound to justice kept him there and eventually resulted…
Wash is the winner, judging by comments, but this is certainly the dark (heh) horse.
I see what you're saying, but Book's death wasn't represented as a cost of victory.

Ugh. Drivers, am I right?
Which driver? Both kinda messed up, though I'd never condone what the pickup driver did, but at the same time I can't stand people who sit in the middle of large intersections like this. Same with people who drive in the "both turn lane" until they get to their turn, cutting off others.
This is good.
