Actually, I'm pretty sure they squeezed the maximum value out of all of them.

That smell was me shitting my pants.
OK, then by your definition, no modern electronic device that plugs into a wall is ever truly off while still being plugged (exception being computer due to the physical power toggle on the PSU?). And you're just arguing semantics at this point.
I'm sure they would, however if you've paid attention to all of the news coming out, the Kinect is able to recognize and differentiate between voices, and I'd bet they'd have an option that only allowed it to be turned on by a designated voice.
Cool, I'll buy yours then.
Its a good line of thought, and Microsoft has stated publicly that they are experimenting with using the Kinect to somehow fuel targeted advertisements (another annoying hot topic, which really only means you'd be getting ads more relevant to you, instead of, idk, diaper ads next to alcohol ads or something). So yeah,…
I dunno what you don't understand about "completely off." You will be able to turn the X1 off in the same way you can turn a computer off, with no Wake-on-device listeners, if that's what you want. Or, you can turn it to standby mode, where it sits and listens for input to turn back on.
Not necessarily. A lot of laptops come with standby as the default power button action, and require a long press to shut it down (besides using the OS shutdown method). I just think people/various media went a tad overboard with speculation.
I don't think it was Microsoft confusing anyone, I think it was people like us going on rampant speculation based on admittedly minimal information.
Yeah, and there is a way to turn it completely off.
Uhh, yeah? Because it seems like 10 different people have something to say about used games, whereas this was made as a definitive, clarifying statement. Which is exactly what people want about used games. Are you going to question whenever they make that statement, citing how they've gone back and forth about some…
This is already wrong. Microsoft staff (can't remember who, at the moment, this whole thing has too many people making statements) have already stated that there are different power states available, including off:
Giv me a break
For the love of your sanity, don't go read the comments on that site.
I dunno. I'm a Caps fan, and I don't think the Caps would've deserved to move forward, even if they hadn't shit the bed in game 7. Sure, Rangers are collectively not that good (power plays? Come on, now, we and the refs gave you plenty of chances), but Lundqvist could carry them plenty while the rest of the team got…
This is what I read Deadspin comments for.
Unless you Zerg rush.
Hey, go fuck yourself.
