Unfortunately, I think it may be. Even if RIM came out with 10 phones as awesome as this one looks/sounds, they have a massive disadvantage in existing userbase, app market, and general reputation. Hopefully they can break out of that, because more competition is good for the industry in general, but I'm not convinced…

WoW is pretty good at incorporating cinematic scenes like these into the game, but they're mostly around race intro (the first time you play a character of an individual race) and I think the expansion entry points (when you get into the new areas provided by whatever expansion).

Ah, according to FB's own FAQ, it won't show up because my account isn't active enough.

No luck. When I minimize the side bar, a new area pops up at the bottom left of the screen, with a bunch of pictures of friends on chat, a text box, and a button that just opens up the sidebar again. I'll keep poking around.

Mine has been off since almost after I reactivated my account. I'm sure it was a setting somewhere but I can't find it for the life of me.

I would suppose, but it doesn't exist on mine, and I can't seem to find a setting to turn it on. All I get is a full-height list of friends for chatting.
