Reading "Way of all Flesh" by Samuel Butler and also started "Jerusalem" by Montefiore, as well. The Butler is wonderful halfway through, like a satire on Victorianism with a set of parents that remind me of something out of Roald Dahl. TV: Veep, Mad Men, Louie. Happy weekend, everybody!

Exactly, ha, ha!

Finished "To the Lighthouse" by Woolf and started "Way of All Flesh" by Butler. It was the third Woolf book I'd read in the last coupla weeks and also my first exposure to her. Magnificent. Also grabbed "Jerusalem" by Montefiore from the library, as well. My wife also turned 31 this weekend and we had a banging party

Have you seen Janet Snakehole? She hid the rubies…in your butt.

My wife is Polish-American and I thought I'd surprise her with a bucket of water in the face (dressed as a bear, of course). This…this was a bad idea.

My wife's knees are permanently damaged from high school softball. After both knees being scoped, her coach scolded her if she didn't defy the doctor and "play through it." Did I mention that was also her father? He still defends it, saying it made her a better person.

Unfortunately the power of Schultz is not influencing anyone apparently.

Also, throwing breaking pitches when your arm is developing is terrible for the tendons and it's morally abhorrent the adults allow this. Great book about this called "Until it Hurts" by a former coach and SI writer, if any of you are interested.
