I see definite narrative and characterization similarities to the other two I mentioned. Wonder Boys is generally considered to be his other major work but I loved Yiddish, as well.

If you enjoy that book, I'd say you'll like any of his other output, but beware of posthumous releases. He was an obsessive, and would never have let some of those essays see the light of day.

I loved Kav, Wonder Boys, and Yiddish, but never picked this one up for some reason. Next month I'll hit ya up to see if it was a worthwhile trip.

The cover is part of the joke, you know…😄

"Invisible Man" by Ellison (finishing it, actually), "Complete Short Works '39-'89" by Beckett, and then I'm starting "Black Flags and Windmills" by Scott Crow, a book about successful communitarianism post Katrina. Every once in a while I need to read about something positive happening or I'm afraid I'll go 12

Sure, but OKC has the largest free standing cross in the world which…(explodes into laughter) whew! I couldn't do it. You're entirely correct, Denver it is, they got a killer diner with vegan Poutine, too, I just gotta remember where on Colfax BEFORE I get high.

By the way, if you're into black metal, 1349 is coming to the Riot Room Feb 19th! Amazing stoner gods Weedeater same venue Apr 7th!

That's a perfect example of small and large venues without the perfect inbetween the Beaumont (and before that, Grand Emporium) offered. In answer to your question, Air, the most I can say is dodgy tax practice behind the owner's back, unfortunately, that necessitated a full walk away move.

**Invader One is killed with Brody's bare hands, Sabu drops from the ceiling, inexplicably, and Arabian Facebusters Vince McMahon.**

They are great! Good heads up, Bruiser! Huss! Huss! Huss!

I actually like living in flyover country but we lost the Beaumont Club which was the only real inbetween sized venue and it's definitely made for more road trips, for sure. But that can be a good thing, too! Pilfer different record stores, etc.

Yes, and it was wonderful. Hoping for a redo of that, actually.

Damn, no love for KC. Well, OKC ain't that far away! And yes, "Blood and Thunder" better feature both singers!

Holy Jeebus, that's Fall Out Boy?!?! My wife and I have been ripping on that shit all playoffs, we thought it was Imagine Dragons or some shit. 😄

That sounds astonishingly, laughably terrible. Had me crying I was laughing so hard at the songs' descriptions. Whew! Needed that.

He was WAY too stoned for violent acts! He also signed a girls wrist, who then promptly went across the street and got it tattooed. After returning, she showed him the fresh ink, to which he said, "Christ, love, if you 'ad told me that's the feckin plan, I'da written it legible!" Big laugh from everyone (gal included).

No, I'll stick with "from the Clash" 😄 Quick story: his new band played next to the bookstore I work at, and he spent eight hours in there, filling up two shopping carts, signing shit, and making small talk. Spent $1100 and was the nicest, most genuine rocker I've had the pleasure to meet. Oh, and Carbon/Silicon

Yup, 22 Jacks was great, too. Joe Sibs just had an ear for melody.

Mick Jones from…the Clash. You know that, right?

Be careful, some geezer said there's gonna be a war on the terraces…TONIGHT! (I fucking love the Cockney Rejects, sorry, couldn't resist.)
