Yeah, my immediate reaction was “Can you at least thank the man first?!?” But if I had nearly drowned, was panicked and distressed, and my beloved dog was still in my car I have no idea how I’d act or what I’d say.

There’s an episode in Grace & Frankie that’s very similar to this. It was very moving and I was crying throughout the episode. They did a great job of capturing a lot of different perspectives. I think people who struggle to understand end-of-life decisions should watch it.

I read this yesterday just as our doggy’s party was coming to an end. Really highlighted for me how important it is for people to have that dignity as well.
