I’m both great and terrible at managing and only part of it comes natural for me. It just depends on the aspect.

They are! They’re constantly on HGTV. It’s a continuous cycle of Property Brothers, Flip or Flop, Love or List, and oh god, I am such an HGTV loser...
Once upon a time I hated the Property Brothers. While other shows essentially do all the heavy lifting for buyers in terms of investing and renos, these dudes are all like “Quit your whining and yank that toilet out of the bathroom and dump it in the driveway. You’ve gotta invest blood, sweat, and tears into this…
Sometimes the strangers just have to give one answer, but it’s always some trivia type question that he barks in people’s faces when they least expect it.
Terrifying!
Fears of living in NYC:
Vice did a segment called Surviving Alone in Alaska with Heimo Korth, who is this incredible human being who is also featured in The Last Alaskans. Heimo is humble, smart, soulful, and resilient. So Vice sends along a guy (who fits their seemingly homogeneous sea of white male hipsters) to essentially “rough it” with…
Mmmm almond butter
These are good! One of my favorite signs from the GWB era was “Hey George. Stay out of my bush.”
I also get overwhelmed in crowds which is why I’m staying in NYC. I like the idea of being able to jet back to my apartment if I’m feeling anxious versus being in another city.
This isn’t a movie but have you seen The Last Alaskans on Animal Planet/Discovery? It’s so beautifully shot and their stories are really interesting. The people who are featured have this depth and resilience that is super admirable. I’ve gotten a couple of friends hooked on it (although I don’t think there are future…
I posted something else already, so my apologies if I’m breaking some sort of code by doing that.
Consider this a recipe sharing thread, my friends!
I really wanted to hate Timber Creek Lodge but I’m actually enjoying it quite a bit. I think it’s because I really love the mountains and would totally opt into staying in that lodge versus on a yacht like on Below Deck. Plus, it’s a breath of fresh air to see Canadians in-action on THEIR turf for once. We always…
I felt the same way in grad school so I never invested in a laptop but I work with loaners and a scholarships office at a public college and they never consider those items frivolous. Check your loan organization’s website. They should have guidelines listed, and if they don’t, give them a call. I’m sure they’re used…
I definitely would consider a new tablet a worthy investment for your education. As someone who works with students on various scholarships/loans, laptops and tablets absolutely count as appropriate uses of student loans. They’re necessities these days!
Agreed!
What are these Epcot engagement shirts you speak of????
Has anyone seen the latest Match.com “I met someone” commercial? I really hate it and Francesca Serritella wrote a great piece about it in the Philadelphia Inquirer (which my mom “left out” on the kitchen table [for me] over Christmas). She speaks so much truth in this short article.
