Me too. I was like, “How do you buy a rule? And why does this keyboard group need to purchase it? Is it some kind of patent or copyright that doesn’t suck?”

I came here to complain that reading the headline made me feel like I was having a stroke and then I got sucked into the article which reignited my latent desire to own a mechanical keyboard. It seems like the form factor are all standard keyboards though--are there any quality ergonomic form factors out there?
Yeah, that’s never actually been a thing. It’s a lovely lie they can tell to defend their paycheck.
This is all a real shitshow. Isn’t it time that notorious misogynist Bobby Kotick left too? The lawsuit is hardly about only Blizzard, and someone actually at the top ought to take the hit for letting this all continue.
Bobby Kotik is still their leader. He was SUCCESSFULLY sued for Sexual harassment last year. They are definitely not taking this seriously.
Frances Townsend is still there, pardon me if I still don’t believe they’re taking this seriously.
I agree with this, but also... 2007 was 14 years ago. If someone has shown some sort of personal growth, will we hold them accountable for old statements forever? What does “personal growth” even mean when it comes to professional relationships and employment?
I’m 45 and I’m still aspiring to this.
35 is a good age to be aspiring to something. At 35 you’ve realized you’ve really messed up your life trajectory and you don’t want to do anything you had previously thought you wanted to do for the rest of your life so you decide to aspire to be what you should have been all along; college degree be damned!
I’m 35 and aspire not to work any longer.
Please stop making me feel sad about GLOW, yeesh.
The hard part about this conversation is that it feels completely obvious to myself and some people I know, whereas others are completely dumbfounded by the idea of “cyberpunk orientalism.” The hard part is that a lot of people don’t really understand that Japanese was featured so heavily in original cyberpunk media be…
Fiction does not emerge from a vacuum and does not exist in one. Creators must bring their own experiences to their work to create and have an obligation to consider who they are writing for and how their work will be understood. If they didn’t, there would be no point to creating the story. That said, Orientalism…
The problem with that is it’s post-hoc and third-party, more of a testament to your ability to create a viable-sounding possibility than a reflection of what the developers actually did or intended.
it’s really funny to me that when kotaku gave this game a pretty good review the comments section trashed them for “overlooking” the game’s technical faults, but now that there’s a problem with it that can be used as ammunition in a culture war it’s everyone’s precious child that can do nothing wrong
Fiction means criticism, critique, and opinions are not allowed. OK, that makes sense. Agree to disagree.
It’s a made-up language that happens to look exactly like Korean. OK, that makes sense.
Anybody who uses the term “SJW” is a fucking asshole. You’re a fucking asshole.
I’m sure mothers and fathers who get sexually harassed/abused at work don’t carry that with them when they leave the office, right? I wonder if that woman who was driven to suicide by the abuse she experienced at Blizzard had any children?
As others have pointed out, Activision Blizzard lay people off regardless. They laid off a bunch right after reporting record profits.
