I’m looking at what tyres to get to replace the stock ones on my KLR, the Hidenau Scouts are top of my list. I live in remote WA, Australia. Most of my riding is paved, but the design of the tyre gives me confidence that it can handle the soft pindan tracks around the area.

I’ve participated in this training and it really hit home how important it is to learn about your surroundings in any vehicle, in case of an accident.
Sounds like you rode a KLR250. They haven’t made those for years.
I’ve got a KLR, and despite loving it, I’m definitely lusting after a DR, but will probably get a much smaller Dually to hit the dirt with.

I was just having a similar thought. In Australia, it’s not unheard of for trucks to be lifted 3-4 inches, and have baskets of stuff on the roof.
I’m a volunteer for Sea Shepherd and have sailed with a few female captains. One of whom was an Executive Officer with the Dutch and Australian Nazy. To say that she was one of the most inspiring women I’ve worked with is an understatement.
