Yeah, it's such a common trope that I don't let it break my suspension of disbelief, but it's cool when they get it right.

I was looking over her credits on Wikipedia but nothing jumped out at me. I must have just absorbed it through cultural osmosis :)
Yeah, I don't think there's anything "seemingly" about it. He definitely was a deer in headlights after he let go that first arrow.
Talk about aging gracefully...
Never watched it but maybe I saw enough commercials for the show to make her face familiar.
I was actually on the fence a little about whether or not it was Cooper. Ray showed up in the beginning of the ep, talking about the power system, and then Brother Eye causes a power outage. Also, Ray is up to something and it's about that time in the season to start getting some details on that.
Cool. OK, you've convinced me; I'll give it a try.
Good point. There's only been 4 or so episodes.
I guess this is explained in the comics? I don't remember it coming up in the show.
Yeah, that was my first thought during that scene. You might have a chance in a rolling car, but The Flash grabbing you at 100's of mph would snap you in half for sure. It's the same thing when Superman (or anyone else) grabs a falling person just before they hit the ground. It's pretty much as deadly as just hitting…
Yeah, logic has the tendency to ruin fantasy. If it didn't, then it wouldn't be a fantasy.
Those Black Widow titles definitely hit the spy/thriller tone more than Hawkeye's dude-going-about-his-life style.
Why is this a debate? Does the answer affect the quality or interpretation of the film? I mean, I don't even remember this scene.
It sounds like you're suggesting one has to invest in the Marvel universe (or one such Marvel universe, I guess) as a whole to really get the most out of it? That's too rich for my blood (both in terms of money and time). I just wanted to spice up my comic reading with one or two superhero titles to supplement my…
Thanks for the recommendation but, yeah, I'm not sure we have similar tastes. The best comic arc I've ever read (IMO, of course) is Season of Mists from The Sandman. I'm not expecting a Marvel superhero comic to be similar in tone or theme to something like Sandman, of course. I'd expect something more like an…
I didn't like that one TPB at least. I couldn't even finish it. YMMV, of course.
When they rename Agents of SHIELD to "The Phil Coulson Show"?
Sweet. Speaking purely about MCU and not the comics, I think Natasha has been one of the better Marvel characters, much more interesting then some of the headliners. Thor, in particular, is totally flat and his movies are completely carried by Loki. I'd love a BW movie or maybe a team-up movie with her and Barton.
No problem, I see what you're saying.
I never dreamed there was any connection between seasons until I saw Pepper was in Freak Show. Also, there was a rather pointed comment in S4E1 (or maybe episode 2) about not wanting to end up in an asylum that suggested they might connect more explicitly. Still, I wasn't sure that it wasn't just a nod to fans. This…
