15 out of 15, although I kind of guessed on the one about the First great Awakening.

I like to help by clearing up misconceptions in science discussions which overlap with my expertise (physics, particularly particle physics, string theory and cosmology), whether that's adding some detail to the original post, trying to bump another comment that has added something worthwhile, or answering an open…
Yeah, I expected a little better from io9 especially since a number of commenters here made the same point when the BICEP2 results were originally billed as "evidence for the big bang".
Ugh. The general idea of the Big Bang is not under dispute. The fundamental evidence for it is that everything in the sky is Doppler shifted into the red, indicating that it is moving away from us. This hasn't changed. These results discussed above are relevant to the theory of Inflation, which is like a specific…
Sweet visual.
Good point. This costume has a Hercules kind of vibe, which seems pretty appropriate.
Nit-picking ahead: you're mostly right. Atmospheres and pounds per square inch are units of pressure, which is the same no matter the narrowness of the pool. You mean that the total FORCE ( = pressure * area) is greater in the wider pool. The force is higher because that force is just the total weight of the water…
A question about the American anime discussion. What exactly makes a work "anime"? Does it have to be adapted from a manga, as kind of implied above?
I've liked a lot of superhero movies and I like comics but I've got little to no interest in traditional superhero comics.
Similar logic would prove that God must be finite and flawed:
We've already kinda gotten there. I hadn't watched any of the MCU movies until this year when I decided to check them out. I had to go to Wikipedia to figure out what order they were released in.
Best theory ever: Hot Pie is the real baby Aegon.
There are great horror comics. Hellblazer is a classic with lots of great arcs. Hellboy, BPRD or any of those associated spin-offs are good., too. Joe Hill's Locke & Key is pretty good and a relatively short series.
Has no one said car alarms yet? They are without a doubt the worst invention ever. They don't serve their purpose and are a fucking public nuisance.
I've heard a couple things. What sounded best to me was the fear of each other and of society. Also, there's kind of standard body-horror elements of losing control of your physical self when becoming a zombie.
Maybe not the right place to ask about this but having never read this book I'm wondering if it's worth me doing so. Context: I am a grown adult and, while I have nothing against reading YA fiction, I do have a huge reading pile already. Is it really that great?
Wow, I was totally unaware that no woman had ever been awarded the Fields before. Kind of crazy.
To be fair, I mostly think about my next and last meals.
Warning: This book contains respect for various, cultures, orientations, and lifestyles.
It's like that guy missed the entire point of Star Trek.
