You idiot, it’s a schooner!
You idiot, it’s a schooner!
I’ve been driving a Leaf for almost a year now and I’ve charged at home exactly 1 time. I’ve realized that charge vs getting gas is apples to oranges, they’re not fully comparable. We don’t even have level 2 charging capability at my house, just a normal wall socket.
I here that, I have a 2010 Kia Soul that needs a new home😜
I’ll have to look into it but, I’m quite sure San Luis Obispo on the California central coast has not had drive through a for decades. They also have rules about not having large corporations in the city proper, if you want to go to target you have to go to the outskirts of the city.
I HAVE kids, which is why I NEED to stop and get out when we get food.
1. Range
The ironic thing about comparing charge times to fuel fills is that one has to actually stop to get fuel!
100% agree, I here this filling up in <5 mins here all the time but on a road trip it always takes longer. Plus on a road trip you’ll have to stop for gas and food, wouldn’t it be nice to pull off the freeway and just charge while you eat at In n Out
It’s definitely not necessary to charge at home. I own my house and don’t charge at home ever, I don’t even have a high power plug. My partner drives our Leaf mostly and there is charging at her work which she barely uses, more often that not we charge at the spot near our kids daycare before we pick them up or after…
When you’re out consider all the times that your car is stationary for >30 min. Grocery stores, work, on a road trip getting food possibly with kids in tow etc. these are the new “fill up” stations that will be used in the near future. Filling your tank in less than 5 min is great but imagine not having to make a…
I live in a house and only charge at stations still. There are plenty of chargers for what I need around town even if I lived in an apartment. I’m going to try and take our 2019 Leaf for an extended trip soon and from what I can see there are plenty of charging options up the California coast.
There are some silly reasons I like driving a manual.
Great for Japan, have you ever been on this stretch of highway? also consider the fact that this repair was unexpected, on a cliffside with no other access roads.......and many more reasons that would make it take longer than usual, I wouldn’t doubt it took at least a month just to figure out what exactly they were…
Ama right? All “automatic “ stuff is like that, it requires CONSTANT supervision.
You’re gonna want to get that rust proofing.....
Cheers to that,
I hope you’re not too disapointed if they don’t come out with a convertible option.
Yes, this man deserves the full turd tax
Totes agree with the stick(manual) shift. I’ve seen at least a couple news stories of would be car thrives being thwarted by a manual gearbox, I also enjoy “driving” a car. It’s not as if I’m highschool or doing dumb things that would require someone else to drive my car but, I do like the idea that not just any turd…
