I don't give a shit where the stuff I love comes from! I just love the stuff I love!

Yes: Die Hard, Die Hard 2, and then let's watch Die Hard again.

You gotta wonder if a movie called "Pan" that releases a screenshot of its star giving the 'thumbs down' isn't just asking for it.

The film just never landed with critics.

At this point she should just make the Inception of Flatliners Past, where she causes people on the brink of death to time-travel by invading their dreams.

Since this is an 'update', the character obviously would be Wikepedia Brown (B.J. Novak does justice to this premise in his humorous short-story collection).

I'm not saying the movies can't be ridiculous and fun. But throw some mud on there, some texture, some practical effects, so it's more than a cartoon created in a virtual environment.

Bill and Ted!

The sad thing is they could actually make a good Transformers movie if they rebooted the franchise. Instead of churning out more glossy, over-designed, Michael Bay CGI crapfests, they could clean the slate a la Batman Begins.
Make the robots realistic and gritty. Keep the designs simple, like the toys, so we can

Bull fighters!

Also not to be confused with Blood and Sand, either the one with Tyrone Power and Rita Hayworth (1941) or Rudolf Valentino (1922).

I don't know why Ryan is rehired, but my main question has always been what happened between seasons 2 and 3 to turn Ryan from a sympathetic intern into a total dick?

This just in: the plaintiffs are now seeking millions of dollars in residuals from Guardians of the Galaxy, because TORGO is an anagram for GROOT!
There is actually the line in the movie: "I am Torgo". Pay up, Marvel!!

Cate Blanchett!

Alan Rickman was also very good, as usual (although he didn't have to sing much, as I recall).

"Sondheim's pop-operatic style". I don't know what that means, but it sounds more like a description of Lloyd Weber or Les Miz. Sondheim is pure Broadway. His music is about lyrics, melody, and characterization. It is not about beauty of the voice for its own sake (opera) or repetitive, catchy hooks (pop).
His

There were also a lot of emo Burton fanboys and Depp fangirls who were properly traumatized once they realized it was a musical, a la Wednesday Addams at Camp Chippewa.

Richard Sherman is writing new songs, so I assume they will reprise all the original songs as well.
As for the trailer, they didn't want to scare off the musically averse, a la the first trailers for Les Miz and Into the Woods.

At least they didn't hire Adele again, as was rumored. That's one Skyfall reference they won't be making Skyfall to the previous most successful Skyfall film in the franchise Skyfall, not even being able to last 15 seconds Skyfall in the trailer before mentioning Skyfall.

Red goldfinger and green…
