What scares me is does this give the ISP the option of handing it over without a warrant? As in not forced to, but does it optionally? Also, any effect on ACTA?

I have no expertise in this area, but it appears that the skimmer just "pulls off". If that's true, then couldn't you theoretically check if the machine is skimming by tugging on the plate in front of the card insertion slot (where a skimmer would be)? @nicatronTg: IIRC, Chromium doesn't.
When it has to go for repairs, I repair it. If you're on this blog, you probably have at least minimalistic computer knowledge. And my desktop is a custom build, so if a part dies, I run to CompUSA and get a replacement if it's critical. There's only a few components that can die that don't have backups in place (I…

But indirectly, yes, a while back someone used a little bit of hackery and got a basic X/Debian setup running, so indirectly, Ubuntu was, since Ubuntu is little more than Debian/GNOME in a pretty package with some custom packages (like the "Ubuntu Software Center") running on top.
@anitesh.jaswal: More like XP'd. XP was back when the OS was fully open to tinkering because UAC wasn't in place.
@MrCobaltBlue: I've tried all 3, but only feel comfortable with nano.
@EADG: GIF is better for something like this, since, due to the fact that the majority of a page is in rows of the same color and the way a GIF is interlaced, the files will be in the KB range.

I want to drive up to Orlando so I can fly back to FLL and drive back down.
@Seventhexile Speaks: I'm tempted to open Mastercam and start creating the toolpath for this...
