I usually like to use the brand-matched one for the simple reason that if it causes my phone to stop working, they can’t blame a third party peripheral not correctly implementing a new standard. Same reason I use the samsung microsd cards - if it doesn’t work, it is still their company name on the problem.

I wouldn’t even worry about being away from the internet. My prediction is that most people visiting the site will see the site down starting a good 45 minutes before the waiting room opens until a good 45 minutes after the passes sell out.
