That would never happen. CDPR is not a terrible US company but a normal, good meaning Polish, European company which gained its popularity and support not just due to game quality but also in large part due to how they behave themselves.

In an era where developers/publishers force their players to be paying beta testers it is best to not buy on release date anyway. Good examples for these recently are Paradox Interactive games or even Bioware games (there was a time when I bought both on first day, never more, I let the games age 1-3 years before…

The problem is no matter what building securities there are in a nation where everyone can run around with guns like in a weird horrow movie. The US should learn from Europe, or basically any other place to ban civilian gun use and thus stop LARGE majority of gun related crimes.
